Minion Master - help please!
What are the best skills for a Minion Master? I saw this build on PvX wiki, and I'd just like your opinions
Death Magic - 12+1+3
Soul Reaping - 12+1
Order of Underneath (Elite)
Animate Bone Fiend
Animate Shambling Horror
Animate Vampiric Horror
Blood of the Master
Masochism

Yeah, it sucks ass, and it suprises me that said build can get positive ratings. It really shows how little people know about minion masters.

use vampiric horrors and bone fiends with order of undeath, vampiric horrors negate order of undeaths downside and bone fiends attack fast.
also masochism has no synergy with OoU because OoU causes you to lose health not sacrifice health.

Person above me is wrong. Masochism has synergy with both OoU and BoTM.
Vampiric horrors balancing OoU and fiends attacking faster than horrors means it won't negate enough and since you're stuck with no reliable self heal you won't be able to maintain your army to any degree.
It's a trash build.

OoU - Sacrifice 10% of your maximum Health. For 5 seconds, your minions deal +3...13 damage, but you lose 2% of your maximum Health whenever one of your minions hits with an attack.
Masochism - For 30 seconds, you gain 1...3 Energy whenever you sacrifice Health.
the initial sacrifice will trigger masochism, but thats pointless. anyway [skill]dark bond[/skill][skill]infuse condition[/skill][skill]mystic regeneration[/skill] youll be fine.

I wasn't aware that reducing the casting cost of OoU from 10 to 7 or 6 was worthless.

It's PvE, you have Monks and you don't need to split.. why do you need a self heal?

I like to use [skill=text]Animate Bone Horror[/skill] and [skill=text]Animate Vampiric Horror[/skill] for my minnion wall, should I listen to the guy that doesn't use self heals and assume the Shambelings are better?

Or that this doesn't constitute "synergy". Or that reducing BoTM from a 5e to a 2e or 1e cost isn't desirable.

Lately I've been using someone else's suggestion, it works great.

Deathly chill
Shambling horror
Vampiric horror <- this could be anything really
Blood of the master
Rest is optionnal. I like using pain inverter and summon ruby djinn. I love shambling horrors. 2in1 and with this build they got no downside.

by no synergy in my op i meant they have no GOOD WORTHWILE synergy. If you think gaining 3 energy everytime you cast BotM and OoU is good then go for it, but ill just stick to my broken primary attribute and save myself a skill slot.

A combination of your character ceasing to function when Monk energy gets tight, and the relatively low value of your 5-8 skill slots. I don't think that a self heal is absolutely essential, but I've yet to see a set of skills strong enough to make taking a self heal, and the stability it provides, a weaker play.

With Vamp/Bone horrors you have a decent meat shield, and great damage with OoU+Fiends. BotM for in-fight minion heals and Heal Area for out-side battle heals + to negate OoU.
