Icy Bow Help
I just bought an Icy Bowstring and a perfect Bowgrip of enchantment today for a total of 5k... but I don't have a bow to use it with. What's a good bow to use for my Frost shooting build?

A free one, since you got WAY overcharged heehee
You could go with 15% while enchanted, but I'd stick with a 15^50 personally just in case you get enchant stripped or shattered. Typically I like Hornbows for spiking but that's more vamp/orders type stuff. For more speedy/consistent damage go with the recurve, or if you are brave (or crazy like me) go with shortbow for the fastest damage.

I know but ... umm... like what kind of Recurve Bow?
Just one with nothing on it so I could put on my bowstring and grip?
Actually, I bought two Enchanted Grips on accident (one imperfect) so I'm trying to sell it now.
EDIT: What about a clean Half Moon? 15-28 damage with +1 Marksmanship? I'm gonna craft out the Marksmanship part.

Half moon is shortbow class, so if you wanna recurve just find a skin you like and grab it. I'd just get a 15^50 collector recurve but hey, I'm cheap.

The +1 grip and the 20% enchant grip can not both go on the same bow.
The Hornbow and the Recurve are the same fire rate, so if your going for speed, don't use either of those.
I also recomend you go R/E and run "Conjur Frost" for more damg. Plus it will get the time duration bonus from you grip of enchanting.

first off..no they arn't. Hornbow is a 2.7 second refire with a .59 flight time, were as recurve is a 2.4 refire with a .40 flight. The part of about conjure was implied id hope..not much other reason for a icy string. I agree with post #2, you were overcharged

I read what build u were trying to run so hornbow for sure, u get the extra dmg from conjure +10% armor penetration from the hornbow it self.
Here is a collector with a 15% w/Enchanted hornbow
Hoknil the Lesser
Location: Snake Dance, south a short ways from the exit to Grenth's Footprint
Collecting: 5 Azure Remains(dropped from Azures, duh, just kill the ones that are around the area)
Here is the map where he is.

I run a conjure ranger, i love my mursaat hornbow, just use rapid fire to increase speed, dont flame me for rapid fire. Hornbow has a fine flight time so read the wind is meh, apply poison is good, but we got poison tip sig now 6sec recharge is not much.

I wonder why non of you mentioned the long bow... long range with rather low arc.
personally I'd use both a long bow and a recurve bow. I'd put the Icy(assuming you use it for conjure) on both and the enchanting mod just on the long bow, the recurve can use something more useful.

If you want long range, flatbow is vastly superior to longbow due to ROF, but you'll want read the wind or FW, and unless you're going conjure barrage you shouldn't be using either. The *only* reason I even use longbows is because they never made a zodiac recurve...
@OP just decide which skin of recurve you like and there's a really good chance I have a spare or can get one easily Then you just slap some mods on it and Bob's yer uncle.
