Concept Knockdown Build (Untested)
Hey, I haven't played in about 2 years, give or take, and I've been looking at the Assassin class and was thinking about this build. Any input would be greatly helpful since I've been out of the loop for a while. Thanks
A/*
Critical Strikes: 13 (12+1)
Dagger Mastery: 14 (12+2)
Deadly Arts: 4 (3+1)
Critical Eye
Siphon Speed
Disrupting Stab
Wild Strike
Mark of Instability
Critical Strike
Moebius Strike
Viper's Defense
Precast Critical Eye, Siphon Speed the target, Disrupting Stab for lead attack and interupt, Wild Strike for Off-hand and removing stances, then cast Mark of Instability for knockdown effect each time a Dual Attack is used. Critical Strike for energy gains and activates MoI knockdown, follow up with Moebius Strike->Critical Strike->Moebius Strike->Critical Strike->Etc.
Viper's Defense to get out of the thick of things (poison is a bonus).
I know this build doesn't have hardly any condition effects, but should do okay as long as the Hex isn't removed. I was thinking about adding a Rez in place of Viper's Defense, but then I'll have no ability to get out of the thick of battle.
Please let me know what you think.

looks good but u gotta remember, if you dont have em under 50% hp an 8 sec recharge (i think) is a long time for another dual attack

Mark of instability ends when you knock them down - its only the next dual attack, not _every_ dual attack
If you're looking for a great way for lots of KD in PVE I suggest critical agility, locusts fury, and brawling headbutt. Makes a good combo for all the falling ___ skills, and with 33ias and locusts fury your adrenaline goes through the roof. (maybe some fear me and SY! as well)

wiki.guildwars.com has Moebius Strike for a 2sec recharge, Critical Strike as 6secs, Wild Strike as 4secs.
So I guess I can't toggle between MS and CS as quick as I was thinking. Death Blossom looks like about the only Dual Attack that matches MS recast.

Yes. [skill]horns of the ox[/skill] would be better if you want repeated knockdowns. Mark of Instability is more of a finesse tool.

Moebius-Horns of the Ox was my long-time shutdown favourite. Recently though, ANet nerfed HotO into oblivion so I hardly use it anymore
Moebius-Blossom is quite good in itself though, making for a threatening pressure build. You'll need to find new interruption, Trampling Ox has become quite popular as a replacement - Cripple is eeaaasy to cause

Yup, thats why I stopped using it.
20 seconds is too long imo.
I'd rather use Ox, all be it with the damage nerf, it's still bread and butter in most of my PvP builds.
