Question Glittering Dust

I have been farming bones, iron, granite, etc. for consumables. However, Glittering Dust is used in a lot of the consumables, and I have not found a good source for it yet. I know what items that drop to salvage, etc., but I don't know what I can farm to supply large quantities of Dust. I am also working on filling my materials storage, and things like Vellum, Damask, etc. all use Dust to craft them.

I can use 55 Monk or Necro, Ranger, Mesmer, Dervish, and for some areas Warrior or Ele. What is a good place to farm to get Dust?

UW and FoW. FoW can easily get you a stack in 2~3 runs

I believe that all undead drop dust. Bergen Hot Springs and Gates of Kryta (backdoor way) as well as Fahranur HM are all fair game for a 55 Mo/D.

Djinns drop dust, too. Mirror of Lyss HM, starting from Dzagonur, and an Obsidian Flesh ele should produce copious amounts of dust.

I ty to clear UW and FoW a lot! I save the demonic remains and the dark remains and salvage them. Ppl often leave their dark remains behind in FoW clears, they salvage into ~ 15 dust per thing! You can also use a normal salv kit on them. Bergen will net you stacks also, but not nearly as efficient as FoW.

I do farm the undead outside Bergen, and get decent Dust drops. However, it is very random for me, and I was looking for a more consistent source. FoW has been suggested by a few people, and may be my best option, although I have yet to try Fahranur. Hidden City has potential, but I haven't found a build I can use there consistently, as the burning is my biggest problem. Might try the Elementals in Mirror of Lyss.

Thanks for the input guys, I have a few new things to try now. If I come up with a consistent source, I'll post the spot and build I use.

HM Undead farming (bergen or gates of kryta)
or
UW solo

currently a stack sells for ~2k, so we need more farmers for the price to drop

Consumables offer significant bonuses to a team, and make doing HM easy. Common consumables are:

Grail of Might

Essence of Celerity
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Essence_of_Celerity

Powerstone of Courage

Armor of Salvation

Dust is used to make almost all of them.

Yea, Temple HM gets you lots Dust/Bones, i get 2 stacks of bones and a stack of dust every 2 runs. Not to mention the rin relics, chalices, char carvings, onyx, greens, and other rewards of the dungeon.

Screw paying 3k a run, do the run yourself and charge 3k for people who want to collect dust... have a monk or a rit?

currently in the trial phase, but it's of "Great" quality
