How much money did you start off with before you started farming?

Well i started off with 1000k in that bank as you can see. But i got over 600 gold from farming it for like 12 hours a day that also help just selling that to the merchant got me 150k. i have 8 char now with 100k on each of them and then I bought 40 ectos and still have 1000k in my storage.

Wow. I'm not sure which i'm more wow'd about: the 4 days of farming for 12 hours or the fact that you made 1mill from all of it.

i didnt power merch for very long but i bought a rin relic for 6k traded for murakias reaver then traded the reaver for 6 ecto

(wtf hax) btw that was a 10ish days ago

W/rt is slow and can't kill as many things in comparison to the e/a build. With the E/A your in and out under 90s (taking in ping, load times, etc). As well you kill about 10 more things with the E/A. I farmed for about maybe 8 hours over the course of those 4 days, and walked away with 2 stacks of pies and ciders, 3 ele swords, ~200+ unid golds, 3 black/white dyes, and about 60k cash from merching stuff.

So its really not luck, it was just how much time farming you wanted to spend over this special weekend.

is it really THAT much more profitable to farm in EOTN than the three campaigns? jesus, unbeleivable...im struggling just to try and get my 4th set of elite armor(vabbian for sin), looks like i really got to invest in EOTN and get my A/E over there since that seems to be faster than W/Rt or 55 Mo.

Its not that EotN is more profitable...Well kinda yes and kinda no. Its more profitable because its a very fast run that has a chance to drop a (previously) rare item, the ele sword. As well, the chance of it dropping is way higher than previously attempts to farm them, thats why the price is dropping so much. You could very well farm somewhere else and earn the same amount of money, in around the same time. Maybe Gem Farming in DoA or Ecto farming in UW. I didn't farm that much in Factions or Nightfall, and most of those farms are overused/worn out. But still work just won't make as much profit as they used to in their prime.

So in a sense yes you need EotN to make more profit. Because the more you do a farm when its first out, the more profit you'll make from selling off the items. So many people go through the campaign and look for monsters/areas that drop rare weapons, then they determined if they are able to be solo/duo/etc farmed. So the first few weeks of farm are when its in its prime. Then slowly the farm will become less profitable.

But farming really isnt the way to go. Power trading is where its at. But if your not cut out for it then farming will work. You just have to keep on top of whats hot and whats not.

My best power trade was buying a mini kunna for 45k...

I felt bad after buying it for 45k....that was all he was asking for it and I was like you know its worth more ( willing to give him more after) and he was like, yeah i know, i just want to get rid of it

i use 330hp rit build w/ mind bender to solo all the rapters, and they aren't that profitable, either you're extremly lucky or good at photoshop, i've vanquished rata sum numerous times, and i haven't got one ele sword ;\

@ expounder2: Raptor farming is quicker with the ele, although it depends on the build you run. You won't find much of a difference to be honest as they die when the combo is finished with both professions.

The elementalist can keep fire magic at 16 and has a higher energy pool.

Where as the assassin has 16 in shadow arts, you will have to use a +20 staff or 15/-1 wand and 15/-1 focus.

I use the following

Glyph of Concentration
Shadow Form
Firestorm
Glyph of Sacrifice
Meteor Shower
Bed of Coals
Flame Djinns Haste
Phoenix

Fire Magic: 16 (12+1+3)
Shadow Arts: 12
Energy Storage: 4 (+1)

This is not my build, i just picked it up from the raptor farming thread.

@ PnoyPlaya: My drops are the same, although i only famr it occassionally.

Whether it got nerfed or not, idk.

Maybe overfarmed, farming code (i think that's the name for it) kicked in.
Although i dunno if that thing was or is a still around.
