my ranger started in NF, so of course i had a flamingo to begin...now i have my raven ("nevermore")...each hero i acquired i made a secondary ranger and leveled a pet for each. for fun i sometimes run around with all my hero's pets going so with 4 of us it looks like a small herd of animals running around (good for front line fodder, too)...among all my heros we have a rat, lion, bear, flamingo, etc..

My Paragon has 4 Black Widows..my fav pet because it is very Quiet.
My ranger has White Tiger, Black Moa, Lioness and Bear -Zookeeper. My Rit has 2 nf rats and 2 Albino Rats. Love how rats get so big when you level them, have had many comments playing with others(Omg..Look of the size of those Rats!) I still love the Black Widow..Just wish he still had inherant poision like when he was introduced. Edit - Now my ranger has a Black Moa and 3 Whites. White Moa 4 t3h w1n! Respawned like 80 times. Now i just need a Baby Moa Chick
