Runes
Im a pretty old war player(2.5 yrs.), but still i like to switch up. Anyways since I use sentinals if just meeting the 13 str. req would be a good idea. I know weakness takes it down by one, but im not quite sure there are alotta weakness skills that ppl use.
Ok now im thinking of either switching up and adding a major rune instead of the minor rune im currently using, its -35 health, but i do use at least two strength skill, flail and lions comfort, which will both benefit.
Another thing i need help on with runes is if i should switch out my minor tactics rune for a rune of purity or clarity. Im not sure which would be better for a war. Im only really using the rune since it benefited healing signet, then when lions comfort came out, i still kept it for the additional bonuses. should I take the rune of purity, clarity or keep my tactics rune.

I wouldn't use superior think of those that will be healing you and doesn't matter hero or hench the more damage you take the more they have to heal for.I would still keep your minor tactics if you are using some points in it as like the healing signet even if it was lions comfort you still need some points in tactics.
I would just stick to all minors to be on the safe side.

Personally I'd not recommend Sentinel's insignia, partly because I'd lean toward Survivor being more useful and partly because 13 Strength is an awful lot. Most of the things that give a warrior problems are armor-ignoring anyway... hexes, degen, etc. Only higher hp will help you against those.
For PvP, run all minor runes: Weapon Mastery, Strength, Tactics, Rune of Clarity, with the best vigor rune you can afford.. health should be over 600. For PvE, I'd recommend the same, but if you really want to use a Major or Superior weapon mastery rune, its usually not as problematic.

Really over 600... way back a year ago it was recommended that I use superior rune in the weapon mastery. Goes well with my dragon slash since at 15 i can continuously spam it with for great justice. I would think that 100AL+the 16 Al from my shields would be great against those pesky eles.... My health right now is at 515 in PvP/ 530 in PvE, since i like using live vicariously and let my healers heal me as well.
Anyways im still wondering if many players use blind or weakness a lot, cause that seems the rune id like to try

I would recommend survivors to or radiants in PvP you want a minor a year ago you could just swap the piece of armour with your minor or superior. The inventory is now locked and can not be opened when switching armours.Sentinals is not a great armour in PvP it is best to have 600 hp in PvE 550 is good.
I would say knight insigs are still good as you see lots of W/Rt around ToA with Knights on.

PvP'ers have run with the highest HP they could for as long as I can remember, which is nearly 30 months. There's always going to be a few who tell you differently of course. If you want to use a Superior, you can... its just not considered worth the payoff for so much health lost. In PvE, do whatever you want.
You still have 96 AL vs. elements without Sentinel armor. A monk who can't keep up with your damage should probably be replaced. On the subject of Live Vicariously, definitely don't waste attributes in Healing Prayers. If you want to bring a monk skill, take [skill=text]Mending Touch[/skill]

The breakpoint for that is at 14 Swordsmanship, actually.

Actually I use live vicariously in PvE since it combines extremely well with my enchantment shield.
Anyways im guessing a lot of the opinions i got some time ago might have been a little different..maybe its just that they flamed me more then helping me haha. It all goes down to AL over health. I do know that the benefits of AL are decreasing.
Knights Insignia doesn't seem to great IMO ive looked at it and -3 damage isn't that great in my view...not saying its crap, only ive been told its not like it used to be when the damage was all global. -15 total dmg!Other possible insignias ive looked at is possibly dreadnought (+10 unconditional) and maybe lieutenants insignia(for gauntlets only). But i still think sentinals is not bad, although i do know a lot of bashings when it was introduced.
I figure if i replace the superior vigor rune with a minor rune, get a 15 luxon helm for swords(pricy ) itll put swords at 14 and my health at 600 always. I can swap my minor str. out for a purity or clarity rune. Pretty drastic/expensive measures too... I might wait a little for now

Superior runes were used back in the times where armor swapping was available, and so you could swap for a minor after accumulating DP. Since after armor swapping was disabled people have run the maximum health they can.
Knight's were used back in the time when it was universal, and not local.

There was also the fact that it reduced all types of damage, not just physical.
