For me, it's all about power trading. The most boring, yet effective way to make money in just about any mmorpg (I know gws isn't exactly the type but it is kind of a rpg).
I made about 100e in like 4-5 days just by buying low and selling high.

I don't power merch or anything like that, but when I need fast money 20 - 50k, I wurm farm in Sahlahja, do the 2 quests in HM with H/H group each run takes about 10 min or longer if you want to kill more stuff, hit the shrines for Margo blessings and SS blessing then sell all your drops after Id'ing them. In two hours you've raised both SS and Lightbringer quite a bit, and gotten 10k + per hour.

Hmm, earlier I was doing some hm outside Bergen hot springs. It was actually not too bad, my pc loaded the screens rather fast, and I made like 15k in like 2 hours, and I was pausing inbtween. I may stay with that for now, since it seems like some nice money, and I can raise my wisdom title or sell 7 unids for 4k Keep the ideas coming, there all great!

Alright, just want to clear myself up on this one, what exactly do you power trade? Or you just buy anything on the market thats cheap, sell it high? If someone could give me a few examples of some good items, that'd be so great

Anything.
Rare Materials, Materials, Weapons, Mini-pets ... whatever you can think of.
Want us to provide you with a price list of everything?

You might wanna click the "trade forum" on the FIRST SIDE OF GUILDWARSGURU.COM and then click the link which sais "PRICE CHECK" which will take you to SEVERAL lists sorted CAMPAIGNLY for items.
Now if that is too hard for people to do, someone's gotta make a video.
There is a neat search function on Guru aswell, you might just wanna check it out. There's also a good search function in one's internet browser that is slightly harder to use as you might have to click 2 (!!!!) times before you can enter the letters/words you wish to search for.

i would suggest farming elite tomes in HM, most ppl would want them for skill hunter title track (hint: the most wanted ones are the elementalist and monk ones).
On the other hand, what is the claim that you can make 200k in one day again?

You need a lot of knowledge about the market to power trade, and you have to be in the mindset: "I don't want to play the game while making money, I just want money", but I agree its a good way to make $

Question seems to be directing at me, so i shall answer it
No proof to show you the 200k/day claim. I don't do screenshots when I trade
Trading depends a little bit of luck, alot of knowledge, skill and patience.
Luck because you might bump into a lazy seller who might sell his stuffs cheap so he can go back to farm/play. Luck because you might bump into someone who don't knows about price: got a rare drop while farming and just want to get rid of it.
Knowledge and skills needed are price knowledge, when to trade, how to trade, where to trade and what to trade. It does make a big difference with when and what you trade.
Finally it takes a lot of patiences, of course.
Comparing the time a farmer takes to farm up to 100k, a trader could, of course, earn nothing if he is bad/unlucky. But on a good day, he could earn as much as ... frankly speaking, there isn't a limit
Trading is part of the game. To many people, they spend more than 80% of their time in gw doing trades and buying stuffs to collect. Farming isn't any way more "playing the game" than trading imo.

Mini pets are usually an easy way to get started power trading. I started out that way, buying mini bone dragons first (could only afford it since I had no ecto so I bought for 100k back in the day). Resold for a few ecto here and there.
Now you just buy whatever people are selling cheap, mini kuunavangs, gwens, mallyxes. Some people get lucky and buy stuff like an undedicated oni for 50k.
It's all about the luck of who is lazy to sell items and if your quick enough/ happen to notice. Just like kobey says.

Wow, thoguht of closeing this, but I don't want too anymore, you guys still have some great ideas in you. I do like that monk farming, that Byzzra Wingmender dude, he seems to drop alot of golds, greens, and monk tomes. So I may go with him for a while.... Also, with 55 monking outside bergen ot springs the runs like take 8-12 mins and I usually get 1k + Thanks for all the answers, I may start saving up then try power trading, just to get a tase of it
