Best Boss killer? I vote Pain Inverter!
Ok i have just got Nightfall but have been playing eye of the north for awhile and i moved my Necro to Nightfall and all i hear before everyone mission is how hard it is to get masters on some of the missions like killing the drought in Rilohn Refuge without turning off the water anyway i had a MM and some tank henches and sent them all at the drought then casted pain inverter before he let sandstorm out and killed him in a half a second. Which makes me convinced that this is the best boss killer out there. I was reading up on wiki that to beat this drought you have to winter and blah blah blah all u need is pain inverter
havent been much farther in nightfall yet but so far its been cake for masters

Standing in an AoE (especially a boss AoE) so Pain Inverter does more just doesn't seem like the best idea. Okay so the boss is dead, but so is half your party or your monks are struggling to keep the party up. If you have fodder it's okay, but then your minion master has no minions.
I think the skill is pretty good don't get me wrong, but sometimes what players will do to get big numbers comes at cost.

Quoted for truth.
You need to measure up when Pain Inverter will be worth the cost of standing in AoE's etc.
Granted it works really well with an MM.

pends what your fighting really...PI is awesome against eles and stuff but aent against wars yar-de-yar
favourite boss killer ( infact favourite way to kill anything) - suicidal minion bombing!
being really honest actually I am opposed to PI...as with consumables and a whole load of other crap that came out with GW:EN...consumables and PI and other stuff have made hard vanq. that much easier now which isn't a good thing!
PI just rapes through what should have been a tough boss...which before you would have had to get a good stratergy for beating..now all you need is PI stand in AoE and take a powerstone with! ridiculous IMO for something that should have been tough has become that much easier
sorry for going off on one but that is really how i feel!

When you use a team with a MM, pain inverter will be a very good skill.
Same with foes with AoE skill you can't really avoid (like the giants and dragons in proph. desert).
In most other situations, Spoil Victor.

His example given was of a mission where killing the boss is the main objective, and once the boss is defeated, the other enemies are soon as well.
When the boss is dead, it's fairly easy to deal with the rest.

[sarcasm] nice one [/sarcasm]
so anyway, Spoil Victor is certainly the best boss killer, works on everyone, even monks... Spiteful can be awsome against bosses stuck in large mobs, Spiteful the non bosses and let them kill the boss

OK - so this is changing the rules a bit (As i'm going to to use 2 skills)
Dragon Slash + Dwarven Headbutt
You can basically keep a boss nailed to the floor - never getting up. This works with a greater variety of bosses than PI (all bosses really except those of a species that cannot be knocked down) and does not require your team/allies to loose health and is effective with low ranks in Deldimor

I think the same thing could be said about [skill]broad head arrow[/skill]. Even though it won't outright kill the boss it will keep them dazed forever if used properly whereas dslash/brawling headbutt keeps them on the floor forever.

Hmmm, Brawling Headbutt/Steelfang Slash/"For Great Justice!"
Why allow half your teams health to be lost to kill them with Pain Inverter, when you can just keep it on it's ass, not letting it get off as much as a Reversal of Fortune.

Because bad players like big numbers. If there was a rune that was -150 health and +3 to attribute, they'd still run it. Maybe 2 of them.
