Destroyer Cores [Glint's Challenge] Ele Style
Destroyer Cores all round ...for eles
Profession : E/Me
Att points
Earth Magic : 12+1+3
Air Magic : 5
Inspiration Magic : 11
Energy Storage : 4
Skills
Template code: OgVEMLWJz0wDl+LxsxXVbsVNAA
Stoneflesh Aura
Obsidian Flesh [E]
Glyph of Swiftness
Sliver Armor
Stone Striker
Mantra Of Earth
Crystal Wave
Teinai's Crystals
Equipment
Galigord's Stone Staff
or something with 20% enchantments longer
Since you'll take the occasional 2-5 damage (rarely) use a few blessed insigna of if using a shield with -2 while enchanted mod on it
Walkthrough
Pretty simple really enter the Glint's Challenge mission, at the Central Transfer Chamber
Stand out in the center (shown in the first screenie) so you'll aggro the destroyers make sure they don't run off and kill the baby dragon. Just keep yourself alive with all the armour enchantments must need Obsidian Flesh as there are mesmers who will shatter and drain your enchantments, until all the Dwarfs are dead. Wait till they all bunch up, both sides [Should at 3 minutes in the last group of destroyers will arrive], than pick a side, run to them than hit Sliver armour whilst keep all enchantments up and watch them drop. Using Teinai's Crystals and Crystal Wave first before using Sliver armor will drop almost all of them below half way of their HP. NB Do not use Teinai's Crystal and Crystal Wave once you've used them once on a group you'll get smashed by vengeful weapon A run should take about 4-5 minutes and on average you get 2 cores a run, so 1k-2k every 4-5 minutes which is pretty good if you ask me.
Usage of skills
too keep up obsidian flesh constantly, use Glyph of Swiftness before you cast it, same goes for silver amour, although it won't be up all the time the recharge time is reduced by 25%.
Screens Yeah sorry i should of taken the screenies in a smaller res These Screenshots were taken when i was first testing out this farm so the build is different, its slower
Screen 1 - Where to stand to aggro at the beginning
Screen 2 - At time when they are all bunched up
Screen 3 - When they are all dead and the drops
Enjoy
Phi

works exactly well with a ranger but change Mantra to Storm chaser and it works hope this will allow rangers to have a nice succesful spot to farm

Doesn't really work with a Ranger as having earth magic at 12 and glyph of swiftness you have 0.9s of downtime not including the 1 second cast time on obsidian flesh, which is long enough for the mesmer to cast shatter enchantment and mirror of Disenchantment. Only way to keep obsidian flesh up constantly with a ranger is to use SQ, and doesn't recharge fast enough to use continuously.

Don't mean to say the ranger way doesn't work however, i believe you are lying about getting to round 4, as 1 the destroyer of compassions in round 2 cause bleeding and using my build, it doesn't consist of any healing or regen and even on my ele with full blessed insignia and kinetic amour, i still took 10-20 damage, and destroyer of deeds, carry salvage shot interrupts on stoneflesh and your gone, however i can be wrong, so if you do make it pass round 2 let alone to round 4, please prove me wrong with a screenshot
Anywho, just wondering if a warrior could try a W/Rt VwK build on them, i think a warrior will have enough AL to take minimal damage and survive on VwK, don't have a warrior there and none of the guildies have one there either >.<

Well, I'm not sure since it isn't me in question, but there are plenty of places where you can hide from projectiles.

yes i tried with a monk, but coulnt make it work.
obsidian flesh just last 1 second to less and you cant have 2 glyphs on you(swifftness and elemental power) the kurzick/luxon skill also wont work because from att 12 - 13 is no difference. you can make it but you have like 10% chance and that is when your off hand halfs recharge triggers or they just dont casst shatter enchant ment on that time.
( i was trying with a 55 hp) i did discoveredthat soa will alow you to take no dmg from them afther like 3 hits.
a ele monk can deffinetly do this but i dont have. if any 1 has idea's plz send iti need 233 more cores for gloves XD
edit : i do have a ranger can some 1 post the ranger build

Works really well for me for the most part. My only problem is that when I go to kill one group, the other suddenly decides to go after the baby.
Edit: Found my problem. I was standing too close to the baby :P

well, there goes the market on those, been farming this way (kinda) for a while, and btw, an e/mo can do it only 45secs slower.......but the vengeful doesn't bother you and you should never take more than 0dmg........well, i guess it was nice while it lasted XD

Nah, the market will be fine (at least for now) since the cores are used in batches of 250.

mkay well, here's the e/mo version of the build, which although 45secs slower per run is COMPLETELY nub proof, and not as tedious, i like it still cause it gives me time to throw up a few enchants read a forum then go back and throw them up again XD
OgNEgVyc24UK+qyDRi0XbwDXiA like i said, slightly slower, but if you are a) a nub, or b) a forum head that likes to be able to look away from the screen to read a quick post or two you'll appreciate this, and thanks phi for bringing us the e/me build.

a method i use which i think can still work thats to loot scaling? Is 3 splinter barrager heros, and then i take the prot and healer, the earth and aiden. I stand in that little curvature on the dragons side and afk it, barragers are set to attack. Usually they take out first wave with around 270-310 points (not that it matters) no effort needed, and they usually kill the first 4 dervishes in the next wave and then the rangers maul em to death, I dont pick up any drops though I wait until i die and it sends me back to central chamber where i hit accept all on the unclaimed loot, gets me 2-4 cores, sometimes you may get unlucky though! and of course i merch off the items. If you felt like doing effort go for it, but I usually do this when Im doing my homework lol it takes 5 minutes or so so i dont mind since im busy anyways! im at 213 cores so im content =D

r u using the rit or ranger hero?? i tried what you said...although they can take out the 1st wave no problem but i find that the rangers DON'T cast splinter weapon on themselves and they always cast on the same person. am i doing something wrong here? and i only got like 1 core every 2 runs lol

If you take Alkar's Alchemical Acid instead of tenais/crystal wave, youll give them cracked armour and do more damage.

It would be nice with the bars from the rangers u use. My biggest problem is: They always use splinter weapon on me... And the henchies arent able to keep them alive for more then like 100points.. also a print to show where ur standing could be good =)
Thx
