Its more of a supporting skill
Yeah I can see how it could be seen as worthless but if your the mesmer and you have a BoA like sin on your team, all those conditions would be at least twice as long, which is pretty handy if their bleeding, deep wounded, poisoned and dazed heh heh...
Oh yea you should probably have Fragility equiped for like 200 damage total worth of condition application and removal.

fair enough but your still taking all the damage from Fragility since the conditions were applied and then removed but I guess the restore condition would heal for all that nvm lol.

Might work in pve with the new skills example wait for them to clump up and
[Skill]Glyph of Immolation[/skill] [skill]extend conditions[/skill] [skill]Epidemic[/skill] Now strike opponent again with [skill]flare[/skill]
Only thing I could think of

Nice avatar Painbringer...that takes me back!
Anyhow, on topic, it's a nice idea, but Mark of Rodgort + a Liquid Flame or the like will accomplish the same without the use of an elite....and if it looks like the burning is about to end....well, Fireball them or hit them with some other fire AOE.
BTW, I can't see what role Flare plays in your combo - glyph of immolation I can understand of course...
IMO, Extend Conditions' only real use is the contribution it makes to Skill Hunter Titles. As an aside...I hope that Anet really buffs this skill up - it REALLY needs some lovin' . Some kind of AOE effect to it would (perhaps) make it more worthwhile, but even then I have my doubts. Perhaps nearby would work? I still don't know if I'd take it even then, mind you...
I imagine that using extend conditions on Daze is possibly the most effective use of Extend Conditions, but as most Daze-infliction skills are Elite, this becomes somewhat moot. One possibility is a Paragon using Spear Swipe (hope I have the name right - the EotN non-elite Daze skill anyhow) + Extend Conditions.....but even that is rather marginal as it could, I'm sure, be replaced by a much less complex alternative, namely a BHA ranger.

i think there is only one effective use for extend conditions: a condition spreading team with two mesmers, one with fevered dreams and the other with extend conditions, both applied to the same target (but still i'm not sure if this may work)

If I am not mistaken:
Daze will be Fevered as soon as it's applied. And I think that Extending it does not RE-apply it. So everyone would be stuck with the shorter version - except for the dude with FD on him that we Extended it on.
Unless the plan is to Extend the conditions on EACH person that has received the conditions via Fevered!

actually I'm thinking more towards [skill]extend conditions[/skill] on some whacky [skill]mystic sandstorm[/skill] dervish build
with stuff like [skill]aura of thorns[/skill] [skill]heart of holy flame[/skill] etc
but even that is meh... maybe the longer cripple is somewhat useful nothing more than that.
