Default Boon Prot

Hey, just wondering what the build:"boon prot" consisted of.
It sounds like fun so it sounds worth it.
Thanks in advance!

It won't work now but the core boonprot was:

Divine Boon (nerfed in heal power)
Mantra of Recall (nerfed in energy return)/Energy Drain (nerfed)/offering blood (nerfed from 5% sac to 20%)
Inspired Hex (nerfed in energy return)
Signet of Devotion/ Drain Enchantment (nerfed energy return)
Prot Spirit
Reversal of Fortune
Guardian (nerfed to 1 cast time)
Mend Ailment (nerfed in recharge)
Contemplation of Purity (nerfed in recharge time)

basically every skill has been nerfed

EDIT you didn't want a 20% enchanting staff/spear since you would mess up the Mantra of Recall timing. That is one of the flaws besides the insane energy management.

EDIT: something like 12+1+1 div (actually 12+1+3 before the armor swap thing to cast your divine boon and then swap back to 12+1+1), 10 inspiration, 8+1 prot

you could just swap to a non enchanting set for mantra.

it also worked with energy drain.

the current boon prot uses melandrus resilience.

Melandru's Resilience is pretty situational isn't it? (unless you're using Draw conditions to fuel it or something)

And divine boon got nerfed many times.

The MR boon prot is nice in RA where you will be the only monk, and shutdown is very sporadic.

Skills are something like:
Divine boon
MR
RoF
Guardian
Holy veil
Draw conditions

and some others, like sig devo, SoA, SB, CoP, or even sig rejuv for even more e-management.

I can still monk teams through 10 in RA with boon, I usually run:

RoF
Sig of Devo/PS
Guardian
COP
Divine Boon
MoRecall
Mend Ailement
Veil or iHex

I don't know why, but I find weapon swapping for every spell so much easier when running BProt.

One of the biggest nerfs to the Boon Prot was to the Recharge times of both:

[skill]contemplation of purity[/skill] and [skill]divine boon[/skill]

This causes several key problems, but most importantly I would advise that you don't use [skill]mantra of recall[/skill] anymore, and rather opt for [skill]energy drain[/skill].

Of course in RA you could probably squeeze out 10 wins from time to time, hell i've seen a rampant string of terrible Life Bonders in RA as of late. I think their are better options. Go ZB, or WoH -- and tap into Assassin or Warrior lines for additional defensive purposes.
