No no matter what, he is always the only character with 60% DP. He always dies and does it fast. Whether he is using the triple N/Rt build or my own curse build he always goes the way of the dodo.

I had heard somewhere (and I don't know how true this is) that monsters like to pick off those players who can cast hexes. *shrugs*... necro heroes do seem to be in the firing line a LOT. Perhaps if you give Olias Survivor Insignia, a vigor and vitae runes, Hale and/or fortitude staff it might help his survivability. Also, perhaps some self heals, like [wiki]Taste of Pain[/wiki], [wiki]Soul Feast[/wiki], or [wiki]Protective was Kaolai[/wiki] for addiional party support.

Is olias the one with the least health in your party? If so give him some survivor insignias/vigor rune.
Enemies tend to target the one with the lowest health first.

Olias is usually fine for me but Master of Whispers is not, everything hates him. For example yesterday Varesh killed him 5 times a row. If anyone dies from the party with a echoing scream.. it's usually him.

Livia with SS draws aggro on HM alot. hmm, actually now that i think about it MoW had SS too during Varesh. The other day Livia was tanking 4, yeah, 4 destroyer of bones more than mhenlo usually... Olias on the other hand with his MM build is the last to die during wipe if he had any minions up that is.

But those are very minimal things, the most suicidal is Lina (that prot. monk) why on earth are you out there, in front of us attacking :P. Nice ....It's like a gigantic banner "Gank Me!".

All three necro heroes usually behave like they should. Suicidal heroes when i play are Dunkoro (the worst of the worst imo) and Zhed for some reason.

All heroes are suicidal IMO, no matter what build you run on them. What irritates me is that they just stand there being pummelled and don't think to move, ofcoarse if it's a melee hero then that's what you'd expect. But from a squishy like an ele or a necro then it's kinda annoying.

One way around this i've found, if you have non melee heroes, flag them behind you and take aggro first. Then when all the aggro is taken, cancel flag and let heroes come in and do their work. This works for me being as I play warrior alot, so it might not be wise with other proffessions lol.

I've come to notice that whatever nerco I have playing mm is usually the target of mobs of monsters. Might not be true in all cases, but if I were the AI, I would target an MM just because his death will result in the lose of enemy minions, making the battle that much easier.

Perhaps the AI was programmed smart like this?

The enemy AI definitely targets those with lower health and/or armor first. If you have only one party member, with DP, they will constantly be targeted due to the fact that they have significantly lower health. So I would say that a) Olias probably has lower HP and/or armor than most of the other members of your party and b) he probably has little or no self-healing to keep him from dying the first time, which then makes him a repeated target.

For me, it's livia who dies and she has almost highest health. Armor level is same between all.

If i run the SAB build, Master of Whispers as MM seems to always be the first one to get nailed. Then of course, all his little minions go red ... grrr.

I have watched a swarm of charr run AROUND me and to the back of the group to get to him! (I usually flag him a little further back from the group)

Ive also found the SAB build is not so great trying to Vanquish Sacnoth Valley, or any of the Ebon Guard areas really ... anyone have HH suggestions for those areas?

Olias is set as my minion bomber and usually does pretty well DP wise. Although if people do start dieing often, it will be him.

I usually give Zhed [skill]ward against melee[/skill] and another local skill to fend off the baddies. Thought of making him Obs Tank, with his Wammo tendencies.

try giving him more health usualy mobs have a priority list on who to atack and they also know who is the weakest in the team(notice how almost never the hero warior can mantain agro)so they kinda always go for the squishy targets(and yes necro is a priority for them)
