It's... kinda bleh, tbh. The burning's alright, but...
If I had a spare space on my bar...
and If I had a spirit up to get the effect...
I'd be using Essence Strike to churn out more Rages and Splinters, spells which actually kill stuffs.

It sucks. In fact, pretty much all the single target channeling spells suck for damage. Don't waste your time with them.

I use Spirit Burn as a "filler", though I mainly give it to Heroes as it's a straightforward skill for them to use. Spirit Rift, Ancestors' Rage and Essence Strike are a great trio of Channeling skills...Spirit Burn doesn't add much.

Your "filler" should be skills from Restoration. No use wasting slots on skills just to fill a skill bar

It was used in Costume Brawl. A good last attack on running opponents with very few health.

I dunno i kinda like lamentation tbh.I mean yeah it does have an annoying condition but i mean just wait till you kill something before you use it or take along a spirit.

Just my opinion anyway(yeah the rest of the single target channeling spells suck)

I think are the only single target spells other than Essence Strike which ever actually did anything for my channeling build. I tried Spirit Burn once, and discovered that on the rare occasions that I actually used it, it hardly did anything. On paper, it's usefull. But in reality, you don't have room in your bar full of Splinter Weapon and Ancestor's Rage FTW

Lamentation is worse the Spirit Burn, mainly because the recharge does not match the damage what so ever.

Spirit Burn is kinda like lightning strike for ritualists, in that there are just better skills to fill your bar with, especially when you start talking splinter weapon.
It needs longer burning duration at least imo.

I think Lamentation is a cool spell, but the recharge is a joke, and the damage is laughable. Anet must really not want people using it, because currently there is no reason to.

That would be nice. A slightly shorter recharge time would be a good way to facilitate it's use without making it uber. It needs to be about 1/2 the recharge of Essence Strike, I say.
