It's not that easy to get deep wound on a ranger.. damage is also quite a bit higher on a paragon with a spear than a bow ranger. (in general)

Oh, and [card]Heket's Rampage[/card] ends when you use an attack skill, I'm not sure this is the best IAS to use when you have so many spear attacks in your bar.

Yeah, usually what I do is Poisonous bite, then Heket's to get my adrenaline up, and then Barb/Blaze/Merciless until they die.

I've started trying out my Paragon in AB again recently. I was using this build:
[wiki]Holy Spear[/wiki][skill]Merciless Spear[/skill][skill]Blazing Spear[/skill][skill]Soldier's Fury[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]"Stand Your Ground!"[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]Enduring Harmony[/skill]
I guess "Stand Your Ground!" is more optional, could use Fall Back, though I'd considered trying a self heal in here, though as for what, I'm not decided yet.
It's been working well, even though it has little self-preservation.
I might have to try some of the P/R Pet builds, they look pretty interesting.

Its a little redundant because of the armor stacking cap, but not completely useless. "Stand Your Ground!" still covers the time between SY! shouts.

c'mon peeps, think more!! theres not only 1 good combo for the paragon, not everything has to be uber godly cookie cutter here. just because the majority of the paragon skills rely on your immidiate party, doesant mean u have to use them, use the skjills that also include allies, or just youself. when i AB as a paragon, im as greedy as the assassin when it comes to skill choices.
i use this skillbar in AB, its great againced all physical dmg dealers.
[card]"You're All Alone!"[/card][card]Mighty Throw[/card][card]Barbed Spear[/card][card]"Watch Yourself!"[/card][card]Shield Stance[/card][card]Protector's Defense[/card][card]"For Great Justice!"[/card][card]Healing Signet[/card]
of course i havn't played ab in about a month, even with the nerf to WY!, its still useable.
so what if the majority of my skills come from the warrior, i have many other "fun" builds that use the majority of skills from my second profession.
just think of what u want to do, find skills that go with what you are trying to accomplish, then put something together, tweak it later for balance, energy, or other issues that it might have..
i know im not the only1 that cares, so please. THINK!

u know, when done right, a 4 paragon capping team is quick and efficient and *gasp* hard to kill.
(not mobbing team)

But do you HAVE to use Mighty Throw? Personally, I'd rather NOT wait 4-5 seconds for one attack.

u dont have to if u dont want, i personally love the skill, and its extremely spammable with FGJ!, sure its a 3 sec throwing time.. big whoop, its comparable to the warriors executioners strike, same +dmg, with less adrenaline req, with fgj u, after 1 hit, u can throw it again, and again, and again.. its fun seeing high ammounts of dmg on every hit, espically on casters.
but hey, u can do w/e u want, this is just my perferred ab build, it does not rely on your party to function, and its just different. since its para primary, all the little assassins and warriors chase you going omfg stupid para in ab must kill him!!, in which case u just own them, then laugh at their miserable attempt at your life.

Wellll yes, though I'm still looking for that mod x)). I use all radiant armor, and my spear has a +5 energy mod so I have a lot to work with in the first place. But yeah, so even with not optimal equipment it works rather well. You use enough of the adrenal attacks to where you only run out of energy if you run into a ton of people. (...yes I've been using my PvE para :B)
longhornrob-
Heket's is just nice for a cheap, quick speed/adren boost, yeah? You start off with that, so you can get all three conditions on them faster.
Ahh the shield- just checked the wiki apparently the initial info I read on armor reduction when not meeting the req of something was toootally incorrect :|. Thanks for the correction yall and sorry for that noobness :x.

Yeah, that's how I use it. I guess I could throw in Tiger's fury, but it costs double and it disables non-attack skills, both of which hinder the availability of Heal as One, which in AB is used every damn time it reloads, especially when you're in the thick of tings.

Yeah, with that P/R build i threw up above, I have managed to kill wars and sins more often than they've killed me. With a sin, especially an SP sin, I just cast Heal as One as soon as he gets near, and then wail on him. My initial 640 health + 120 Heal is way too much for a sin to handle. And warriors? Well, they're warriors. Not much of a challenge, especially the AB wars.
I've learned that the great thing about a pet is that I can heal and kite and still be dealing damage.

QFT
I particularly enjoy kiting away from a sin or war (not usually a derv as they have strong heals from Mystic Regen) and locking my pet onto my pursuer and hitting poisonous bite... oops, now you have to stop to heal and im a mile away.

If you don't want to go /W, is They're on Fire still the best way to keep Soldier's Fury powered up?

Man, i love that too i use a different combo for a lone assassin. I have Burning Shield, the usage is as follows: i click on the assasin and keep my finger on F(Default: Target Self) and my mouse on Burning shield. When the sin uses Death's Charge or some other shadowstep skill, i push F and click on burning shield. when they miss the first attack, they miss all 4 ( chain attack). Probably they cant use Moebious strike(recharges all attack skills), so they have no lead attack skills, and they start running. Ahhh, The good old days, when i hunt them down.... *sniff* Gotta love assassin light armor! Piercing owns.
peace out
