'Few tips to help you vanquish Saoshang Trail
NOTE:Yes, I do know the necroway springs to mind, but it doesn't work.
I've done this earlier, but for those of this who are having trouble, a few tips to help you survive:
My teambuild is:
Ursan/R (use Serpents for quicker ursan strikes)
SF (with interrupts)
N/Rt healer from Sab's necroway.
An LOD holy haste.
I reckon you could replace the ursan with something else but it will have to be very powerful, else you'd have quite a long time in here.
Now... onto the tips:
The area is chock-full of monks. Can get very frustrating with lots of monks (4!) at the end, basically at the entrance of Seitung. Don't be fooled by the one hatchling, lure it and flag your heroes next to the res shrine, now a load of monk/necro mantids will spawn. I personally started from Shing Jea Monastery, but down to you really, but I suggest SJM. Just use careful pulling and don't quit!
The rule here is NEVER QUIT killing monks!
Ok, over with that. You get 170 exp and 170 gold, but I just did it for the record ( and the vq title )
Please comment on how you coped with this troublesome hell of a vq need more advice on general VQing. lol.

I'm not trying to be mean but...you actually felt the need to make a guide on vanquishing an area with like 20 enemies? And why would you start from the Monastery (4 man party) instead of Seitung (6 man)?

3 Savannah Heats and a LoD Hybrid, first time round. Even started at Seitung end.
Easy.

lol. I think the OP is sharing with us his/her experience. I too have the same difficulty as the OP. As the monks (& they really in 3-5 in 1 grp) are really irritating. It is like a stalemate. They cannot kill you & you cannot kill them. I then started from Seitung Habour for 6-man team & once my minions starts rolling, the rest is cake. :P

Srry but this was the first area I vanquished because it looked so awfully easy(noob island and like 30 enemies) and it was as easy.
I just grabbed a hero nuker, MM and monk. Nothing to it really.

When I first tried Sab's 3x Necro thingy I did this, and I started accidentally from SJM since I forgot that you could get 6 people from Harbor. All I did was interrupt the monks with Power Spike etc. mesmer skills, necros did all the rest. Piece of cake.
