Here are a few basics:

Uses an Icy Sword... (or fire for conjure flame):
[skill]Hundred Blades[/skill][skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Galrath Slash[/skill][skill]Conjure Frost[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

A bit more defense:
[skill]Hundred Blades[/skill][skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Defensive Stance[/skill][skill]Conjure Flame[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

Energy dependant:
[skill]Warrior's Endurance[/skill][skill]Seeking Blade[/skill][skill]Power Attack[/skill][skill]Savage Slash[/skill][skill]Rush[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

Takes practice (timing of Battle Rage, with adrenaline attack skills, and when to use non-attack skills):
[skill]Battle Rage[/skill][skill]Galrath Slash[/skill][skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]Endure Pain[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

All in all, there aren't many good Prophecies only sword builds, at least non comparable to good skill builds from Factions or Nightfall. Back in the Prophs only days, one could get by fairly well tho. I just suggest not trying to get into PvP, PvE in Prophs should be survivable enough.

hope thats helps out!
cheers.

Make sure you bring an IAS (increased attack speed) stance. If you're limited to Prophecies only, Berserker Stance is decent.. Frenzy if you're really pro and know how to use it. Sword is kind of a handicap in Prophecies. There's much better options for elites for Axe and Hammer available to you, such as

[skill]Eviscerate[/skill][skill]Cleave[/skill][skill]Backbreaker[/skill][skill]Devastating Hammer[/skill]

Don't get distracted by "tanking," its extremely unnecessary in Prophecies PvE. Do as much damage as you can, its one of the best parts of being a Warrior. Don't waste valuable skill slots on stances and self-snaring armor buffs. You already have 100 AL. You're there to help your group, and if everyone but you dies, you've phailed in that regard. These are helpful:

[skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]"Shields Up!"[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill]

In Prophecies.. well, Axe is king. You don't have access to CripSlash or Dragon Slash, so sword is inferior to axe in Prophecies. But I guess..

[card]Sever artery[/card][card]Gash[/card][card]final thrust[/card]

Sever - Gash is really abysmal in PvE. Don't bother with it.

You really can't make a good sword build with only Prophecies, sadly there aren't any good elites there in fact Warriors as a whole are really restrained in PvE without Nightfall.
If you really must, though, then take Batou's first build.

I'd say your best bet is just to use an Axe with Prophecies.
[skill]Flurry[/skill][skill]Eviscerate[/skill][skill]Executioner's Strike[/skill][skill]Penetrating Blow[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]Conjure Lightning[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

12+3+1 Axe, 9+2 Tactics, 9 Air Magic, 3 Strength

Why is it that most people don't seem to understand this and post axe builds? It makes me sad that people don't even give the guy what he wants... Anyway, here's my recommendation:

[card]Sever Artery[/card][card]Gash[/card][card]Galrath Slash[/card][card]Final Thrust[/card][card]Flurry[/card][card]"Watch Yourself!"[/card][card]Conjure Flame[/card][card]Resurrection Signet[/card]

Swap the conjure for whichever one you need, I'd recommend you get an IDS when you can, they're getting quite cheap these days.

If you can get your hands on [skill=text]Hundred Blades[/skill] you can use it with the conjure for some decent damage.

I don't necessarily agree. I think Sever/Gash has some good uses. Personally, I use Barbarous/Gash because I don't really run stances, but Sever/Gash has almost always been on my skillbar, and I don't really feel hampered by it.

My skillbar would probably look something like this:

[skill]Hundred Blades[/skill][skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Galrath Slash[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]Conjure Flame[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

Looks mostly like Batou's first build, but as has been said before, sword warriors are kinda out of luck when you're limited to only Prophecies.
