that's not a bad mod, the only thing then is would it still be considered under the Golden line then? All the Golden skills require you to be enchanted for something to actually work, like gain energy or unblockable or even the skill itself.

Easy:

Must follow a lead attack. If it hits AND you are under the effects of an Enchantment, target foe suffers from a Deep Wound for 5...17 seconds.

Golden Fang Strike
Must follow a lead attack. If this attack hits and you are under the effects of an Enchantment, target foe suffers from a Deep Wound for 5...17 seconds.

Simple enough. Also, the reason I think it needs this is because a deep wound is a more significant condition than other ones. It not only causes damage and lowers your max health, it lowers the amount of healing you gain as well. Any attack that puts something like that on you quickly is worth writing home about.

That would make it even more conditional / less useful than it alredy is. I would take impale/twisting fangs over that any time.

GFS is useless? What are you smoking exactly? Getting a deep wound from a dagger attack that 'misses' is about as stupid as they come.

this skill is hax! you can run around and tab, golden fang, tab, golden fang, tab, etc, deepwounding everyone! as long as you're enchanted, it will always cause deepwound, even while blinded or hexed!

yesterday i tested it and was a major annoyance with just 3 skills: holy veil, golden fang strike, jagged strike... basicly maintain veil and run around spreading dw (0 recharge cuz it "misses") and cover it with bleeding (1 sec recharge) then tab to the next guy immediately. it's actually huge pressure to monks and their team will crumble eventually.

Guys...Golden Fang is wimpy as it is. Yeah, it's the easiest Deep Wound in the Assassin's skills locker, but it's still not nearly as cruel as the, I don't know...dozen or so attacks in the Warrior locker that cause Deep Wound?

So many of our dagger attacks are pointless as it is. Golden Fang is almost so, given that it deals no extra damage and needs a lead attack. Makes it useless for the typical spike builds, requires a pressure-based Assassin to pull it off. Give the guys a break...

I can't think of a single Warrior deep wound skill that doesn't at least require you to connect with your target. None of them are instant recharging either. Pretty sure that's the issue here.

A/E shadow farmer just got a nice buff if you find a place for it.
Shadow of haste
Sliver armor
Shadow form
Intensity
Aftershock
Cancel stance
Glyph of elemental power
Deaths charge
Hah got it u can switch GoEP or intensity ( only around 15% more? And on 30ish dmg? ) for GFS. Just think tab thru and apply Deep wound use aftershock things will die...... at least in theory.

The IW idea came as a shock initially, then I quickly realized that IW still sucks. Oh well.
The good thing is that you can make a decent combo with GFS and be able to pressure even if blinded/hexed.
Adds more versatility and imo does not need to be changed at all....

Right then. And Golden Fang Strike loses all viability as a skill outside low to mid-level PvE.

Anet, I ask kindly of you...can we PLEASE have some decent dagger skills outside the...six, I believe, in current use today?
