E/Me PvE Build
I havn't been playing Guild Wars very long but I have noticed that my character seems weaker than he should be. I am guessing it is my current build and I would like some suggestions. I like to solo and occasionally bring my heroes along with me. I like Fire magic but I'm willing to change if it's worth it. Right now my attribute points are split between Fire Magic/Illusion Magic/Energy Storage. My current strategy is hit the enemy with Conjure Phantasm, Immolate and then Fireball or Flare depending on if I can do splash damage to near by enemies. Like I said I'm a newbie so all suggestions are welcome .
Thank You,
-Rev

Just check there! There are some pretty ace builds. I prefer the dual attunement rodgort spammer, searing flames, or Savannah heat. (which tbh are the only fire options asides from mind blast).

it might help a little if we know what campaigns you have. there is a difference what well give depending on what you have

I have them all. Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall and Eye of the North. I'm currently playing through the Prophecies story. I'm still a newbie so I have weak equipment as well.

Mind Blast is win, then.
Admittedly... that's miles away, right near the end of Nightfall...

here is a few builds that arent bad kind of the regular fire builds to use. instead of the secondary skills use rez signet instead of rez chant or death pact signet

I'd get rid of either immoliate or conjure phantasm... there's a degen limit of 10 and useing both would be wasteful. I'm not sure using illusion is a great idea in general either, especially if you are new to the game. Get fire attunement ASAP and stick to blasting mobs until you have a good feel for the game.

E/Me Mind Blaster
[skill]Fire Attunement[/skill][skill]Mind Blast[/skill][skill]Rodgort's Invocation[/skill][skill]Ebon Vanguard Standard of Courage[/skill][skill]Ebon Vanguard Standard of Wisdom[/skill][skill]Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support[/skill][skill]Mirror of Disenchantment[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
Yea there's a load of Ebon Vanguard skills but you only need r5 to use them, which takes like 2 runs with Devourers in Sacnoth Valley to get. Of course, as said Mind Blast is pretty far locked away in Nightfall.
E/A AP Nuker
[skill]Fire Attunement[/skill][skill]Assassin's Promise[/skill][skill]Glyph of Sacrifice[/skill][skill]Meteor Shower[/skill][skill]Searing Heat[/skill][skill]Breath of Fire[/skill][skill]"Finish Him!"[/skill]
Really your best option for pure fire damage, although you'll need good timing with Assassin's Promise > "Finish Him!", otherwise you'll be stuck without skills for 45 seconds.
E/Me Air build for blinding stuff.
[skill]Air Attunement[/skill][skill]Enervating Charge[/skill][skill]Blinding Surge[/skill][skill]Lightning Orb[/skill][skill]Auspicious Incantation[/skill][skill]Lightning Hammer[/skill]
Rest 2 are optional.
Blinding Surge can be gotten in Vabbi which isn't that far.
E/Me Shatterstone spam
[skill]Water Attunement[/skill][skill]Arcane Echo[/skill][skill]Shatterstone[/skill][skill]Glowing Ice[/skill][skill]Auspicious Incantation[/skill][skill]Deep Freeze[/skill][skill]Maelstrom[/skill][skill]Blurred Vision[/skill]
Shatterstone can be gotten in Sepulchre of Dragrimmar, which is like in the first 2 or 3 areas in EotN.
Mind Blast is really far away in NF, if you can use an elite tome to unlock it, otherwise use Assassin's Promise if you want to use fire. Savannah Heat is kind of far too.
Searing Flames suck. Repeat, Searing Flames sucks. Again? Searing Flames SUCKS.
Of course it works, you can c-space through PvE with good heroes and henches, or 7 other players who have a clue about what they're doing. Are you doing anything valuable to contribute? No. Does it work? Yes.

Nuh uh.
You guys are forgetting, there is another boss with Mind Blast.
During Blood washes Blood (EotN) when you have to capture the point with 3 Charr bosses, they are W, R and E who carries Mind Blast.

no. no its not. the damage is terrible, and if your team is half decent they should be dead before the second metor hits. better off with a heat if you want AoE.

I was referring to the other guys build.
And your build would be better if you used a good fire elite instead of hoping for a recharge on all those skills with AP.
