In my opinion, power trading is the fastest way.
I started with mini palawa joko and in 2 weeks i ended up with 100k+140e.
Thats how I got my FoW .

Someone needs to rewrite the guide really. Most people have no idea what it is and thinks the only way to get money is by farming or running, which is rather sad :/

I know what power trading is, I just get bored as hell.
Once upon a time, I got a 15^50 inscription. I found a fool who would buy this 15^50 inscription for 10k, with that 10k, I used 7 of it for a shield handle +30 hp. I sold the shield handle for 15k, and bought a 20/20 sword hilt for another 15k. I sold that for 25k. And on and on.
After that I bought some ectos from this one guy for 3k a piece, I had gotten about 6-7 of them. Ecto prices were 6k each, so that's about ~20k profit.
After that night I was 60k richer.

But how do you find all the nice deals? All I ever see are "wts ecto for 4.8k" and like "wtb 20/20 for 10k" Is it mostly luck? Where do you find your buyers? AND, where do you buy? forums? in game? both? yarr.. I tried power trading but no one buys my stuff... I try selling 4x shield handle for 10k each (got for 6k each) and like 2x +30 hp sword hilt for like 15k (got for like 8k?) so ya... begenner guide would be awesome! (I have like 200k+ in my bank too...)

Just sit in LA/Kamadan or search around in the forums. One time i got a perfect req 9 stormbow for only 40k, about 10 minutes later sold it for 100k+20e, you just have to be patient and lucky. I used to do that alot and made a ton of gold, but now that most of the things went down so much in price i really dont do it anymore.

If you want your armor fast there is only 1 thing i would recomand go 55 at gates of kryta (hm), outside droknar the toundra giants (hm) and doe the uw/fow solo thingies with a ele and war! and what Al 0.o said wasnt a bad idea eihter with the treasure chest's. yust flip your brain to zero and farm but remember dont stay farming at the same spot but switch a bit or you wil get bored fast xD GL with getting your obby armor

On the topic of powertrading

Why the hell do people look specifically for non-inscribable weapons and pay more for them than identical ones with an inscription slot? Is there a reason for this apart to show it doesnt come from GWEN or NF, seeing as the inscribable ones have more modding capabilities and variation possibilities for a relatively minor additional cost (seeing as inscriptions go for between 500g and maybe 6K)

Maybe it's because the non-inscribable weps are rarer?

If ur gonna run this is definetly the way. Droks runs definatly are not worth time now. 2k a run. 5 ppl. 10k~30-45min(depending on how lucky u r with ppl.)

But with missions, i set up scheldules with clients and run missions that take like 15-25min for 15k. Never have to worry about spamming in chatto get ppl.
Running all kinds of mission across Factions and Nightfall(barely in Tyria) i make usually around 30-40k per hour. How muchs obby these days? 600k? 800k?
Thats like 20 hours runing maybe? Run an hour a day(not bad at all) maybe 2 hours on saturday and sunday and you got urslef a set of fissy armor in 2-3 weeks. Pas mal, pas mal

Just because I commented on your thread doesn't mean I was commenting toward you. Next time you want to get all defensive, determine whether the other person is actually talking about you and then run a spell check.

It's call topic digressing people :/ That's how spams and happiness are created.

Back on topic:
Well, mods are relatively harder to sell off because a lot of people have them. You have a better luck power merchanting high-end items since they sell fast if your price isn't _that_ ridiculous. This is because high-end items are so coveted and yet rare (that's why it costs a lot).

As for making money other ways, the list goes on. You can probably be hitting millions doing say.... drawing people's characters :O

As for Voltaic Spear.... good luck on that one :/

If you want to farm for money, solo UW (or dual if you like having someone else around) is a good place to start, since Ecto price is relatively stable right now and it is popular.
