Default An Idea

I saw something like this in RA, I have to recreate it ( )

It sorta looked like..
[skill]Ride The Lightning[/skill][skill]Eremite's Attack[/skill][skill]Victorious Sweep[/skill][skill]Conjure Lightning[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
That's all I could see. He owned us so fast.

He did massive damage over and over. Can anyone connect the dots with this?

he was probably using a modified version of the wounding strike spiker found on pvx builds, but without wounding, and ride the lightning instead. Idk.

I remember a while ago i saw a derv with Ride The Lightning. He must've had some DW, although i can't fill in the bar for u. Would be great fun imo

EDIT: I quickly put this bar together:

[skill]Ride The Lightning[/skill] [skill]Crippling Sweep[/skill] [skill]Eremite's Attack[/skill] [skill]Victorious Sweep[/skill] [skill]Wearying Strike[/skill] [skill]Conjure Lightning[/skill] Res

I tested it in isle of the nameless vs the AL 60 things. 1 combo killed it completely. And this was without conjure (i don't have a shocking scythe).. so add roughly 60 more damage...

Wearying would be good, as this is a spiking build so the weakness will be gone by the time you deliver your next spike. Use it as the finishing attack skill so as to get the most damage out of your other attacks first.

Crippling Sweep is a good starter to get them snared right away.

The 1 spare slot should be used for either an ias / self heal. I don't see what can be used Heart of Fury is pointless. It lasts way longer than your spike, and will only be available every other spike, similar to Lightning Reflexes in an SP spike build. Pious Fury... will strip conjure. For heals: natural healing / meditation would both be good, although: natural requires wind spec, and will cost 10e a time with conjure on. Meditation will require Mysticism spec and strip conjure, whereas i was going to go with max scythe and max air.

Thoughts?

It could be a spike, but he kept attacking.

I don't think wearying is a good idea, what if the monk is made of awesome and gets to him right after ride the lightning?

I wonder if the guy wanders through here and is laughing at us... <_<

Shell Shock
Conjure
RTL
Mystic Sweep
Eremite's Attack
Victorious Sweep
Storm Djinn's Haste / Crippling Victory / Crippling Sweep
Rez

? looks terrible but that's probably the best he got out of that dumb elite.

Yeah I'd rather use AoD for a teleporting elite just because it doesn't cause exhaustion. Sure you have to go D/A but conjure lightning is kind of lame anyway

I've seen E/A's use it with Daggers but on a Derv, exhaustion on a melee class that requires extensive energy? yuck...

While i agree with that, being a derv main most of my gw career, it still intrigues me. OP says massive damage over and over, conjure + ride the lightning seems like a decent start, but there has to be some other key factor were missing, going to brainstorm on this a bit.

Good stuff.

Yes, I'm a healer, I have quite a few screenshots through RA where I'm doing 16-17 win streaks and my team mates are calling me leet.

And this team whiped us, with that new smiting A/Mo, a cookie cutter shock axe build, and a fire spike ele.
I didn't even have a chance to hit shielding hands :\

sorry, just had to lol.

and i think you just got stomped. shock, possible shock from the derv, possible gale, assassin kds, all at the same time, over and over. if it was the derv alone i'd really doubt it.
