Default Salvaging an Obsidian Set.

Well, Title says pretty much it, im wanting to delete all my Obby sets [3] along with my 15K sets because i want to start GW Fresh, like the old days .

Anyone know on average how many Shards/Ectos you get from Salvaging a whole set?

umm i salvaged 3 about a week ago, and 1 before you could choose you wanted materials.
1st: ~20 shards
2nd: 33e and 10 shards
3rd: 10e and 5 shards
4th : 10 shards

in all, it isn't worth it. just try to get a new account from a friend or something

Im not sure how many and you might not even get any

Id say if you want a fresh start you should buy a new account instead of deleting everything on that one. Add it to your guild and just use that one aswell.

3 Obby sets is too much time spent to just salvage

If you salvage, you aren't really starting fresh.

Empty out your storage and delete all your characters. It's the only way to go.

3 obsidian sets and 15k sets and you wanting to salvage them = you got them on e-bay so yes salvage them and then give the money to your guild for events, etc and start over and earn the items, then they would mean enough to you that you would not want to delete them

hes saying that anyone that actually earned their sets would never salvage them, so must have bought them off ebay. seems logical i guess....

Sell a picture, on eBay, depicting your Guild Wars username and password, then. It's "art".

You have an equal chance of getting any of the materials back that went into it. You could get ectos back, you might get shards back, or you might get iron, hides, cloth, or whatever else. In my opinion, considering the original cost, its just not worth it at all. The risk of being unable to recoup virtually any of the cost is way too high.

Just hide it in storage if you want to pretend you don't own it. I can't condone doing this at all.

Same as salvaging any crafted item. You get what went into it. If you salvaged Paragon Obsidian armor for instance, you could get Iron, Deldrimor Steel, Ectoplasms or Obsidian Shards. That's why its a bad idea in my opinion. He could just as easily get a stack of iron.

Meanwhile ppl like me struggle to get enough money to even purchase the item you speak of destroying.

And no, you aren't more talented, the game has changed. I remember when a 15^50 Fiery Dragon Sword went for over 100k. Now, you might get 30k because it's perfect.

Guild wars isn't fresh anymore, it's definitely not stale, and don't get me started about kosher.

PS ~ If you wanna give me some gold, that'd be kewl. I normally don't beg, but one of the 3 Obsidian armor sets you are talking about destroying is worth more than my 3 characters armor put together. (Droks FTW)
