Default Drop rate

I started farmign bosses a while ago and wanted to check something, do bosses have different drop rate depending of the zone they are in (assuming I am alway in Hard Mode)?

I'm asking this mainly about the Pre-searings and some others. I remember farming some bosses in Marga Coast in HM for hours (not in 1 shot) and getting strictly nothing of value (considering a gold exp scroll to be "of value"). Has anyone noted a drop diference in the zones.

Not really. Drop rate, as far as I know, doesn't change between zones. However, considering how little we actually understand about drop rates (other than the general rarity of a drop), there is a slight chance this is possible. I don't think it is, though.

You cant do Hard Mode in Pre Searing, perhaps you are confused.

there is only one pre-searing (in prophecies). after that, u go in todays world that is the world as it is after the searing.

How ever the other areas dont go through searing and hence their noob areas are still existant.

also note that pre searing is a place in time, not a place in space.

At any rate, I'm kind of curious about drop rates. The way I see it is, when you load into a screen, you get what we'll call a "luck factor" that you cant see. Basically, it auto-decides what chance you have of a good drop. If your in a group, it sets one for every character.

Now before you flame me for this, I have statistical basis for it.

on 9/10 HM farming runs in the same place, I either got at least 2-3 golds per run, or a single purple. Meaning, they are either really good, or really bad. On 1/10, I got a single gold and a tome, which I could call average.

Showing, on some, I got a high "luck factor", on others, I got a low one.

As for the party idea, I've done FoW a bit lately and noticed it seems like some players get TONS of drops, while others get none. Last run, we went into the forest and our monks left us so we got destroyed.. up to that point, I only got 3 white weapons and 2 dark remains. 3 of the other people got at least 1 obby shard and 2 purples. Hence, my idea that they had high luck, and I had low.

Disclaimer: this is just my personal way of looking at it. Also, the word "luck" is still involved here, so its possible you could get a good drop on a low luck draw. Its confusing..I know. This is also based on solo farming data.
