with /Rt could Weapon of Aggression be a possible replacement?

non removable, 25% IAS, 10 energy but doesn't reapply

vs

non removable, 25% IAS, 25 energy and reapplies, cracked armor

yes it won't be as good as something that constantly reapplies but you won't have to worry about a free cover condition for your enemies or idiot h/h monks draining their energy removing cracked armor every 5 seconds..

You have to spec at least 8 into Channeling, 10 energy every 10 seconds compared to Aggy's one time 25 energy use (if you're capable of letting a shout end every 20~ seconds), and prevents you from being the target of other weapon spells (Great Dwarf Weapon, Splinter Weapon). You're speccing leadership anyway; simply put there is no substition for Aggressive Refrain.

To be honest, Lina/Kihm using Dismiss Condition every 3 seconds isn't going to kill you. It's not like they do an amazing job at prot anyway, Mhenlo does all the red bar work. In the event you aren't using the monk henchmen and using monk heroes it better be because the other spots are filled with humans. In a full H/H situation I'm not sure why anyone would waste a hero spot on a monk.

Soldier's Fury is awesome. You just have to make sure your getting a boosted adrenaline source from somewhere else though instead of Focused Anger.

I don't even use much adrenaline skills, theyre usually just a DPS machine with a lot of supportive skills when I run them on my heroes.

if you give two shits about cracked armor, there's a problem. It's a never-ending IAS with a small drawback.

judging from the comments, this seems like a pve discussion...

personally I find the skill to be a joke now. focused anger is more of a brainless hench skill, and soldiers fury is almost a waste of an elite.

actually since gw:en came out, I have stopped using aggressive refrain... the IAS isnt as necessary as youd think.... since a dps paragon is really the biggest waste build with the profession anyways

if you need more adrenaline, just take spear of fury (again, seems like a pve discussion... in pvp i say forget the skill entirely)

tbh I don't find the rest of the paragon elites all that hot, apart from Defensive Anthem that is, but that's why I already run aegis. Besides, ias DOES matter when you like to run [wiki]splinter weapon[/wiki] on a support rit.

[skill]Enduring Harmony[/skill], plus the fact that FGJ needn't be the only Shout in your bar.

Okay, with Enduring Harmony you've extended FGJ to 30 seconds. Now you just have 15 seconds of normal adrenaline gain while waiting for FGJ to recharge. If adrenaline is not that important, it is no problem, but if you're trying to keep something like Save Yourselves! up...

Are you having someone pack Dark Fury?

Spear of Fury is nice, if you are not using SY!, but if you are, you need to look for another solution.

Cheers,
TB

Okay so now you're using two skills just to meet the requirement of your IAS when Aggressive Refrain is working all of the time; it just needs shouts to refresh itself (which you will be packing anyway).

That is besides the point. He wanted a long-lasting Adren boost, hence my suggestion. Please do mind the context.

You also need to wait 15 seconds for focused anger and for great justice is not an elite

[card]focused anger[/card][card]"for great justice!"[/card]... use 1 when other is recharging, youll never have downtime of adrenaline boost.

as for ias, theres plenty of skills that can be used.. but with the extra adrenaline boost, i find the ias useless as im gaining 100%+ adrenaline 100% of te time...

para is one of my fav classes, but the nerf isnt that big of a deal, the only thing that really bothers me is when im in pvp and the monk uses dismiss and keeps removing cracked instead of blind . other than that, i can't even tell im missing 20 armor.
