Vow of Strength
Wow, this is a really amazing elite. ive always been reluctant to try it, as my instinct immediately think omg! avatarz arz tez sexz !11!1 etc etc.
but after utilising vos, heket, and AoHM...results are phenomenal. i was just doinga mission in sanctum (and i know they are low level but still) i did 466 damage!!!.
i managed to get a screenie of a typical damage dealt with my kick ass scythe
seeing those numbers really satisfies you

Damage is so high because I think you were killing the undead. And AoHM has this ability which is not mentioned in its description - it changes the damage to holy.
But still I agree that sometimes, damage output with VoS and AoHM powered by 33% IAS can be impressive.

uhm, why? if your allies are below 50% (excluding your pet) something is wrong with your heroes. and just your pet dosnt do much.

It results in bigger damage numbers, and VoS builds hardly have anything else to take.
Plenty of my party members fall below 50% health during a fight; contrary to popular belief, it's completely irrelevant what anyone's health is as long as it isn't 0. The theoretical minmax situation is to take so much offense and so little defense that you end every fight with everyone on the verge of death but no one dead. Of course, given the variance in each battle and the imperfection of player skill and execution, this theoretical maximum isn't practical, but the concept behind it is instructive.
If you're packing enough defense that Ural's Hammer does nothing, then fine, don't bring it. I can meet the condition for it often enough that it's worth a slot on my bar - an additional 25% damage is nothing to scoff at on top of the 44% buff from VoS and +32DR from AoHM.

If you go with "By Ural's Hammer!" a good idea is to have a MM with ABMs, to create more allies under 50% or just let your pet die to gain +25% damage (dead allies also count towards uder 50% thingy).

Dont you listen to reason? Or do you just go round telling people to waste skill slots in nm pve with res sigs for the fun of it?

do not jump around the forums with your silly "res sigs suck" idea. if you really want to discuss why you are wrong start a thread with your reasoning. meanwhile ill be helping people learn how to play.

I'd agree that NM isn't hard enough to warrant a res sig. When was the last time you took any deaths in a NM area?
The point here is that in any area where there is reasonable expectation of taking a death, a res sig must be brought.
