Red face A non-evolving pet?

I have read alot in the wiki and here about pets, and have a few questions I haven't found. I'm a R/Elem, my pet is lvl 12, and as far as I can tell hasn't evolved into either playful or aggressive. (There was no name change or prefix added, even after I changed the name twice) Is it helpful to have a pet that hasn't evolved? Or is there a way to force it at this stage? And if so, should I force it to evolve? Is there a benefit to having an evolved pet over an unevolved one?

I should add, although I have read about them, I haven't done any special builds, since I am very noob, having only started playing this game in the last couple days. I don't currently use any attacking skills with my pet, he just automatically attacks whatever mob I am. I have ressed him maybe 6-7 times, and use Comfort Animal to heal as neccessary.

Thanks, Jelly

I dont think there is any way to force it to evolve and theres no rush to be honest

Its not about the attack skills/deaths/heals he's achieved, its more about the damage ratio between yourself and him. But i would suggest just keep at it and he should evolve within the next couple leves ^^

It doesn't matter all that much to be honest evolution or not until you want to start trying some more advanced pure beastmaster stuff which you likely won't have the skills for quite some time. They also quite often don't evolve at exactly the same times so it's not all that unusual for one to not evolve right at 11th or 12th level. Most important just have fun, don't sweat the details.

Thx appreciate the help. I just assumed form reading that all pets just automatically did evolve at a pretty standard rate, unless you did something special to them. So then I couldn't figure out what I did or didnt do wrong :P

Yes it will be ^^ the name change only effects the party window and has no effect on the pet itself.
