melindrus is ok for a few maps where you face lots of conditions, but for the most part you really want to avoid using a ranger elite on a war primary.
Bleeding + poison works well in PvE, but not so good in PvP. You also may find that Trolls is not the best heal for you in PvP as its slow and easy to interupt.
If you really like it then pair it with [skill]Defy Pain[/skill] for PvE.

Why waste your elite slot on something that can just be removed by a Monk (or better yet, go /Mo and take Mending Touch)? And btw, Defy Pain sucks hard. Kill shit, don't screw around.

First he wants to play war/ranger.
Second just because a monk can remove it doesnt mean you want him to waste time on a condition like bleeding on a war when other party members are in more need of heals.
Third how is +20 armor and +300 hp that can be maintained indefinately a bad thing?
FYI elite skills are not the only ones in the game that kill stuff fast.

The only elites a warrior should be running (if he's actually serious about killing things) are ones that kill stuff fast. Defy Pain is trash.

In which case, the warrior shouldn't be wasting time or skill slots on it either.

Melandrus isnt a wasted skill slot if your running in an area with lots of conditions and have a high energy skill bar, say [skill]Power Attack[/skill].
While suffering just 2 conditions Melandrus gives you +2 energy regen that can dramatically increase the number of times you can spam hi energy skills.
I never said these were the best possible skills for any war, but they are useable.

1) There's no need to do that
2) If you need 4 regen pips as a Warrior you have a problem
3) Dragon Slash doesn't use energy (going back to the usefulness thing)
4) This is PvE. Don't say 'It's useable'; Hence Mending Wammos thinking they're pro because they beat Prophecies.

Warriors dont really have high-energy skills, All I can think of is Headbutt, but since thats also elite you cant use that. And your allready stuck with Ranger for secondary (more precise, your stuck with WS), and I cant see that much other usefull skills there that would justify a +4 energy regen, TBH I dont see any usefull skills at all for warrior in WS.
Also I dont understand why you have Melandru's Resilience AND Troll Unguent on the same skill bar, seems like a huge health regen overkill to me.

This IS PvE, so let him have some fun playing rather than beat his head against a wall for not using the standard cookie cutter build every war uses to please party members that really could care less if he was live or a hero.

I believe his point is that if he wants to have fun, he can run his own build. He came here for advice to make his build better.

the only place I've seen Melandru's Resilence Warriors run successfuly is while doing 5 man farm in Sorrow's Furnace... you can probably use that in similar areas like 5 man farm in FoW or whatever.
basically, every PvE area with lots of conditions where your Warrior is expected to tank instead of kill, which is a bad concept but in a 5 man team its what you need, the ele and necro do more than enough dmg already...
other than that there really isnt any use for Melandru's Resilence on a Warrior nor Ranger nor any other profession, especially not those weird Melandru's Resilence Monks!

some1 dosn't do their homework..or just dosnt remember when ap+ bleeding was part of the meta.
the point of resiliance is not simply to get the energy regen..its the fact that you can nulify things you couldnt normally such as crip shot (cripple+psn=8 regen..funny ranger). and if your going for fun..nothing beats running around as a warrior with a 10 hp and energy regen =]

I agree about Troll Ungent, I find it can get interrupted easily and has a long cast time.
Defy Pain I like personally, I use endure often but if I had a spare elite slot then why not Defy.
You might also find, as I do that it can be frustrating with lots of adrenal skills waiting for them to charge up. Maybe consider For Great Justice to speed that up a bit.
Apply poison for PVE, it sometimes isnt the most effective especially with high ish energy cost but hey..its fun so why the hell not give it a go.
Bleeding...deep wound...poison, sounds like a winner to me. Might like to consider final thrust as well, I always used to enjoy that for finishing targets off.
Whatever you decide just have fun. You might get flamed now and then (like I might for this :-) ) but in the end what matters is you tried something and enjoyed testing it out.

If you really like condition warrior, why not use Victory is Mine on that build?

For all mentally challanged people, a W/R is not stuck with WS.
BM is a great attribute for a warrior in pve.
You are able to tank so much better then as a reg war, make sure to have a hearty or elder pet if your tanking with it.
A pet can poison, KD, bleed, inturupt for you, while doing extra dmg. Many of the skills are in a warrior range of enrg.
Examples: Poisonous Bite, 5 enrg 7sec recharge, your pet poisons the enemy it is attacking, 85% of the time it is the one you are attaking, if not lock its target.
[E] Heal as one 5enrg 8sec recharge
This skill is amazing with a pet warrior. It save 2 skill spaces, it is a heal for you, your pet and a rez for the pet. Even if your pet dies, skill reset for few secs(almost never do you die from this, unless you aggro like 5mobs) and use this skill, you get healed pet is back at 50%.
[E] Ferocious Strike 5enrg 8sec recharge
Another beauty if pet is gonna be attking as well.
The enrg is regained and you get adrenaline when this skill is used.
Pounce 5enrg 20sec recharge
Ok yes the recharge of this skill is considerable, but if you got a monk running away use this skill, if pet hits the monk, the monk is down and u can smack away at the monk for 3-5sec. Great for finishing in PvP against annoying sins and rangers.
Tiger's Fury 10enrg 10sec recharge
This skill doesnt even need a pet. I agree that this skill has seen better days.
Due to the fact Anet nerfed it from 33%IAS to 25%. Still, a good skill to use. You get an IAS but your no attk skill recharge for 5 sec.
That is my opinion, I use a pet and I think it is a great addition in PvE, cause a lot of the time enemies dont attk it, great in PvP because unless people dont like your pet they dont attk it either.
Now don't ask me for a skill bar example due to the fact that it is really hard to find one that works. Another downside is that u need 12 BM for your pet to do 100% of its dmg, if you have a dire pet then 12BM is not necessery, 10 should suffice.

IWAY WARRIOR FTL!
Don't be a ranger secondary on a warrior. That's all the advise you need.
Oh yea... I heard D-slash is good FYI.
