Ele Condition Hero
Heres the revised Elementalist build options and the MMs that will go with it:
Condition Ele:
[card]Fevered Dreams[/card][card]Arcane Echo[/card]Shell Shock[card]Blinding Flash[/card][card]Enervating Charge[/card][card]Phantom Pain[/card][card]Air Attunement[/card][card]Resurrection Signet[/card]
Air Magic: 11 + 1 + 1 (or higher rune)
Energy Storage: 10 + 1
Illusion Magic: 10
Combined with 2 MM Necros:
[card]Jagged Bones[/card][card]Death Nova[/card][card]Animate Bone Minions[/card][card]Rising Bile[/card]Putrid Bile[card]Blood Of The Master[/card][card]Signet Of Lost Souls[/card][card]Taste Of Death[/card]
[card]Jagged Bones[/card][card]Death Nova[/card][card]Animate Bone Minions[/card][card]Rising Bile[/card][card]Rotting Flesh[/card][card]Blood Of The Master[/card][card]Signet Of Lost Souls[/card][card]Taste Of Death[/card]
The idea of the fevered ele is to spread cracked armour, blind and weakness to all of the foes surrounding the target. Softening them up for the minions. The minions will also provide poison (from death nova) and bleeding (from the jagged horrors) causing widespread degen.
My main question is this: Do heroes use Fevered Dreams effectively? and do you think that the ele hero adds more to the overall build than a curses necro with barbs and MoP?
The widespread blind and weakness (i feel) allow for a greater survivability in HM than a curses necro can provide. My only beef would be with its lack of survivability if the conditions could not be afflicted, were removed, or the enemies didnt bunch.
Incidently, this is the build I plan to run on my Ranger when combined with this build:
[card]Broad Head Arrow[/card][card]Distracting Shot[/card][card]Apply Poison[/card][card]Pestilence[/card][card]Mending Touch[/card][card]Natural Stride[/card][card]Troll Unguent[/card][card]Resurrection Chant[/card]
Wilderness Survival: 10 + 1
Expertise: 10 + 1
Marksmanship: 11 + 1 + 1
Rest in Prot.
Hopefully this will help to spread the conditions, and get dazed into the equation.
Theres no need to judge the MM builds, they're a work in progress.
thanks,
Will

Air Magic: 11 + 1 + 1 (or higher rune)

posible optionals could be [card]Phantom Pain[/card], [card]Web Of Disruption[/card], [card]Conjure Phantasm[/card], [card]Conjure Nightmare[/card],[card]Lightning Orb[/card], [card]Lightning Strike[/card] or [card]Glyph Of Lesser Energy[/card].
Id love to test it myself but Im at Uni atm and I cant get on GW!
Id be coupling this hero with a couple of MMs like these:
[card]Order Of Undeath[/card] Masochism[card]Vital Boon[/card][card]Mystic Regeneration[/card][card]Animate Vampiric Horror[/card][card]Animate Bone Fiend[/card][card]Blood Of The Master[/card][card]Resurrection Signet[/card]

The only bad thing about it, is with heroes/ hench they will always spike down the first enemy you target (which will be the fevered dream enemy). So if you don't get your conditions down quickly he could be dead before you finish all of them.

good point. Maybe changing it from an Ele hero to a Mes hero? The fastcasting may allow for a few conditions to be applied before he goes down.

I had considered that, its just that [card]Fevered Dreams[/card]'s range is frankly huge. "In the Area" is a massive range, whereas "adjacent" is comparatively tiny. Even getting the hex on, and the opponent blinded or cracked would be a huge boon. see isle of the nameless range

I tried a similar build a while back, inspired, of course, by those god-awful Mandragor. It actually worked pretty well. I played as a Mesmer because I felt the heroes wouldn't be able to handle things like the casting of Fevered Dreams and the stripping of Phantom Pain. I used a Dervish Hero with skills like Aura of Thorns, Dust Cloak, Wounding Strike, and self-enchant strippers, also a Necro hero with AoE hexes, weakness and poison/disease, and I think a Ranger with Broad Head Arrow.. It was pretty fun to play and pretty effective, providing I called who I was casting Fevered Dreams on.
I also tried going out with a friend with Eles to cause cracked armor, more blind and burning for the hit of the whole fruit..
It's great fun to play, I just wonder if it would work well in Hard Mode...

Lol! Didn't think of that!
In that case grab Arcane Echo as well. If the hero's smart he/she will cast it on two enemies near the opposite edges of a mob. That would help you a LOT.
I'd also say just make 2 Jagged MMs (your second MM) instead of your first. I tested them out and the Minions + Death Nova destroy mobs faster. Also, exchange Resurrection Chant w/ Taste of Death. Trust me, it'll be like using a hot knife & the mobs are butter. If you have 2 monk henchies, after the first kill the rest is history.

Ya, that was my thread and I tested both of them together. End result, the one w/ the Jagged Horrors stayed alive longer, therefore was able to do more dmg overall. I only believe the OoU MM is good if YOU play it, but even then the Jagged DN MM still deals that much more dmg in a shorter amount of time w/ more minions coming non stop and being replaced w/ Jaggeds. End result: 10 Jaggeds in no time.

Oh yeah, hehe, didnt actually notice that was your thread.
I'm going to edit the main post later with some adjustments, including a build to compliment the heroes from my ranger character (my main). Hopefully finding a way to include the underused skill:
[card]Pestilence[/card].

Maybe it could use some Fragility?

Sure, sounds good. If so, it could go in the Phantom Pain slot.
I did consider it, but the conditions inflicted are usually so debilitating, and the damage from the minions + cracked armour causes such significant damage that i figured Fragility might be a bit of a waste, as the enemy may be dead before it has much of an effect.
