Default Snowmans lair HM.

Any tips or suggestions on how to reduce the damage? It can be a bit over whelming, especially for a dervish in there as the h+H tend to lag behind during the ice jet areas. Anything that works good against elemental damage?

As a deverish, you could just use Vow of Silence to stop the snowballs. There isn't much you can do against the ice jets though but Stoneflesh Aura would work.

Two SF ele heros, a defensive paragon, interupt hench, the ele henches, and two healer henches work just fine. Have to be a bit patient though.

I remember a post before that was saying a r/rt or something was using some sort of item that made their snowballs have extremely long recharges. Dunno what it was though.

I h/h hm snowmans all the time on my ele. I use MM,LoD,& SH heroes and 2 monk & 2 War henchies. So just bring a fire ele hench instead of a war and try it. Only part i have trouble with is when getting the dungeon key.

Defensive anthem and aegis can help block a lot of snowballs when you arrive at areas with a lot of them. Searing flames heroes with they're on fire will also reduce quite a bit of damage.

Spiteful spirit hero + my splinter barrage and they all die in the matter of seconds. I also use mm and restoration necro. Herta, cynn, and two monk henchies.

I maxed the title during the 2x weekend with my ranger with splinter/barrage, 2 SH eles, resto necro and henchies.

I'm seeing here that many bring a MM, I'm very surprised, never thought it could be of any use there, where are the corpses?

The snowmen leave corpses, strangely enough.

What hack are you using to block spells with defensive anthem and aegis?

You don't lower the damage, you distract them with mm. Or if you really want to lower it, use Earth Wards

Dungeon Key part, go in slowly next to the wall on right hand side, flag your heroes so they don't stand on trap-holes.

I'd say you didn't block any snowball attacks with Defensive Anthem and Aegis, because those are SPELLS!

Other then everything mentioned, one great way of reducing damage that I find is going W/RT with 12 in Communing and 16 in strength.

Load up on health increasing skills such as signet of stamina, Endure pain, Great Dwarf Armor

and
[skill]Defiant Was Xinrae[/skill]

to disable ALL of the snowman skills (or most of the more devastating ones) and then use

[skill]wary stance[/skill]

to block all remaining snowball normal attacks, while giving me energy back.

At which point, my whole party which was flagged behind comes in and mops up the now harmless snowmen up with 5 fire eles

5 fire eles? Who's the 5th?

I run an Ursan Warrior and Sabs Necro Heroes, which you can find in the EoTN section of the forums and 2 monk and 2 ele hench. I clear in Hm in about 14 mins with 1 or 2 deaths.

Is [wiki]Savannah Heat[/wiki] better than [wiki]Searing Flames[/wiki] for the purpose being?

it would work, not sure it would be better though

[skill]searing flames[/skill]

Searing Flames has 1 second cast, half the casting time of Savannah Heat and a 2 second recharge recharge, It also affects nearby range.

You tend to move about from one group to another extremely fast in this dungeon. I would like to have to wait on Savannah Heat to recharge before being able to engage the next.

I tend to run it as 6 elems, 2 monks.

Me and my heroes All set for burning - usually end up with 2 as searing flames and 2 with savannah heat then cynn and herta with lina and mhenlo

just mass AOE really, its just amusing to watch

I posted the use of [skill]Defiant was Xinrae[/skill] and whirling defense during the double weekend which in my opinion is the fastest still. I am always waiting to see if anyone comes up with a better way to lower their dmg.

Um game mechanics? Try it out yourself just go in there with defensive anthem and watch you block 50% of them. They are "spells" but they are considered projectiles just like in the snowball arena. You could use a fort to block 75% of attacks. Thus aegis and defensive anthem work on it.
