Thinking outside the wiki
Having played all the classess quite a bit, the ritualist stands out to me, yes it's my favorite class. But it's my favorite class largely because to me the ritualist is about the only class that really promotes making your own builds. Aside from splinter barraging there's not really any major build you see advertised, for the most part each rit's bar is of their own design.
I love this uniqueness and individuality the rits have, and at least with me after tinkering with my rit I feel more confident about trashing my other character's wiki-builds and trying new things myself.
Does anyone else feel the same way? that rits help players think outside the box and be more creative?
P.S. there is still plenty to do outside the indomitable duo (splinter & ancestors)

I frequently use a Rt/A Spirits Strength build in AB/RA. It's amazing how many people you can catch out if you go for the right targets. I use different variations depending on who i feel like going after. One makes it hard to kite, another hard to block, another just does insane dmg. All good fun.
Rits can do a large variety of things. They can heal, very well. They can spike. They can do massive AoE under the right conditions. They can melee, weak on the defence but the offense is huge. And setting up an offensive spirit line and watching a wammo suicide on them is always good for a laugh

Thinking outside the box... I been making my own builds since factions came out (When I started playing) to get better at build making.. assasin is the way to go. why? because assasins have to make effective builds using low AL, and low damage weps, another reason is chains, as an assasin you cant just go spamming dragon slash like a warrior :S....

That's a sizable list, but how many of those have you ever seen advertised? or asked for? and how many are rated "good"? last time I checked over half those are falling out of favor
My point was that there isn't really any wiki-build that is standard "the best" for rits, unlike necros (MM/SS/SV) or Eles (SF much?). See rits don't have that, sure there's a wiki list, but I have yet to see somone point out to me "The" resto build or w/e, you know?

You don't have to think outside the wiki, coz the wiki is completely off the metagame and what is really used and working.

Wiki builds are terribad. I don't see a single splinter/rage build in there, and that makes me sad.
You can sometimes get useful information out of the PvP build section there, and some of the farming build stuff is ok, but the general PvE build section is... bad.

Your forgetting SH on the ele list :P. But generally all builds for PvE and PvP on wiki suck except for farming and maybe a few good builds here and there... But the only build I currently use off of wiki is warrior ds spamm.. and thats well... cus its the best war build for PvE out there :P.

Explosive Creation/ Minion Bomber is my "original" build, all the way from the Factions Preview Weekend. Just my luck several people thought of it, too. I felt pretty creative when I thought of it, and kept updating the build as Nightfall and GW:EN came out.
