Default A good Rit/Mo support build for PvE?

I have searched these forums and I as wondering is the rit still a good healer? since the nerfs? And what build do most resto/healer rits use? I chose rit to heal because they seem to have cooler looking skills and their choice of farming builds are not limited to 55hp this or that monks.... So who can tell me a very nice pve support build for my Rit/Mo to follow, and please include what type of weapon I should use along with stats and runes/insigs to add.

12+1+1 Channeling Magic
12+1 Restoration Magic
(or the other way round, for 13 Chan/14 Rest... I'd rather have 14 channleing, for 5 Splinter Weapon procs)

[skill]empathic removal[/skill]
[skill]splinter weapon[/skill]
[skill]ancestors' rage[/skill]
[skill]essence strike[/skill]
[skill]mend body and soul[/skill]
[skill]spirit light[/skill]
[skill]life[/skill] or some other spirit
[skill]death pact signet[/skill]

... flashed into my head... Hex removal, condition removal... offensive buffs, damage and strong healing.
No prot but... that's a monk's job

Btw... Yeah, I know it's not a straight healer but, tbh - that's pretty weak. Light and MB&S do all the work they really need to, and you can support the party in other ways with the rest of the bar, the true strength of the Rit. And I adore Empathic Removal... Don't ask why

[skill]Offering of Spirit[/skill][skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill][skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill][skill]Spirit Rift[/skill][skill]Spirit Light[/skill][skill]Bloodsong[/skill][skill]Recuperation[/skill][skill]Death Pact Signet[/skill]

I run this on all my Xandras in PvE. You can swap Spirit Light for [skill]Mend Body and Soul[/skill] if conditions are a problem like in Shards of Orr or something..

what would be the attributes for your build mav? And between the two which would be the best suited as a support? and anyone else who might have a nice rit/mo support build for pve is more than welcomed to post it.

Well I don't use /Mo, but I do use /P and /D for a few things.

Firstly I have a party healer, to be paired with a prot monk.

Ritualist/Paragon

[skill]Song of Restoration[/skill][skill]Signet of Synergy[/skill][skill]Mend Body and Soul[/skill][skill]Spirit Light[/skill][skill]Life[/skill][skill]Protective was Kaolai[/skill][skill]Soothing Memories[/skill][skill]Flesh of My Flesh[/skill]

Attributes are 16 Restoration, 12 Motivation, 3 Spawning Power.

Equipment is a restoration wand and motivation shield, convenient for ash use.

The overall idea is to have steady party-wide heals flowing in with the ability for a spike of party healing (ash double-drop) if you need it. You have 4 other heals to mop up general damage and each one is quite different.

Signet of Synergy is a deceptive skill. It looks like a light heal, but across 2 targets it's healing for 176 for 0 energy. Obviously it's asking to be spammed! It's also serving as passive energy management because it lets you heal without expending energy.

MB&S is the staple heal of the build, being the most spammable and it also removes conditions when spirits are around. It's also the most energy consuming, so you actually want to use the other heals more than this one.

Spirit Light is your biggest heal. Don't be afraid to sacrifice health if you need to because you can always follow up with a free SoS to restore your health.

Soothing Memories is geared toward ashpot use and well, I like to wand things when I'm not healing so I keep it as a backup for when I bring Kaolai out. Needing Kaolai pretty much means I'm concentrating 100% on healing and staying out of combat, but when things are easy I like to wand

Kaolai is a great party heal to have in addition to Song of Restoration (I find this poetic on a Restoration Ritualist!) and Life thanks to the double-drop mechanic and synergy with Soothing Memories. If you know things are going to be hard from the start, Kaolai and Herald's insignias are an easy way to have a hardened healer with 94AL pumping out some cheap and serious healing across the whole party.

Something else I found 'nice' is that this sort of build is adaptable in the face of spell-unfriendly conditions. Even when Backfired, Shamed or Dazed, you can still reach for Song of Restoration, Signet of Synergy, have Life trigger or drop Kaolai. Plus, wings are pretty.

The second healer I use is still quite heavy duty, but is more mobile and able to kite and dart around.

Ritualist/Dervish

[skill]Protective was Kaolai[/skill][skill]Soothing Memories[/skill][skill]Mend Body and Soul[/skill][skill]Spirit Light[/skill][skill]Life[/skill][skill]Pious Haste[/skill][skill]Offering of Spirit[/skill][skill]Flesh of My Flesh[/skill]

Attributes are 16 Restoration, 11 Channeling, 6 Spawning Power

Equipment is whatever you like. You may be carrying ashes a lot anyway.

There's less passive energy management on this character and more active energy management in Offering of Spirit. Pious Haste is one of those skills I just got addicted to one day because it's fun. And it's aggro management. AI will often break off the instant you click the button and start zooming around - a handy little tip to know, especially if you need to lose some mobs!

So there you are. You will need another character to help out on the protection side of things to make the healing catchable, but you'll be doing all of the heavy healing just on your own.

They're both almost the same build. The only things that really matter are rage, splinter, and DP sig. Everything else is kinda whatever you feel like.

EDIT: I was referring to Alex and Maverick's builds.

That build is full of win, on so many levels.

Awesome....I am struggling a bit with the restoration line of the Ritualists, the elites are not very good from that attribute I think. But this is just awesome, and poetic indeed

Thanks for sharing!

Ya Ritu with wings look awesome. especially if you use a spear and shield ^_^. I remember making some ridiculous Motivation/Spirit spam builds just so I could look cool. I'll find the pics and the builds when I get home. :P

Edit:

Ok I can't actually remember what the hell these builds were tbh (Song of Concentration? Wtf?) since this crap is almost a year old, but heres a pic anyways ^_^.

I've been loving this on Razah ever since I found out about that Glyph of Swiftness bug.

[skill]Glyph of Swiftness[/skill][skill]Attuned Was Songkai[/skill][skill]Weapon of Warding[/skill][skill]Mend Body and Soul[/skill][skill]Spirit Light[/skill][skill]Life[/skill][skill]Recuperation[/skill][skill]Flesh of my Flesh[/skill]

Most of the time (90%) he will use Glyph of Swiftness before AwS so it will work out most of the time. The Glyph he will keep up constantly, which is a permanent -25% recharge, and combined with -47% energy costs he can spam a hell of a lot of stuff around.

That picture sure is cool. I'm gonna cap Song of Restoration when I get back from school, that build looks pretty fun.

Why not 12+1+3 on Channeling for more Splinter and AR damage? It's PvE, a Superior Rune should be cool.
