Are toucher's dead?
Can you make a pull here? Haven't used this site too much do not sure how do do that. But put your opinion in anyways.
I got into this argument during AB with someone that out of the blue said 'Touchers are Noobs'. Aside from the fact that even though her (from character) that this is the stupidest argument in the game. (If you say that stop it)
I think that it is perhaps the funnest if not best ranger build i have pvp with. I've done pretty much them all that our out there. I use a slightly modified version of the one you can find on the wiki sites.
So leave your comments.

Meh, people are just getting sick of touchers because the get their butts handed to them. If you are the toucher, you get some good laughs and PvP. If you are the touched, well you might just be complaining about stuff.
I wouldn't worry about it... just play as you want.
You didn't pay about $50 a game to be told "NO! you can't play like this... you must do it my way, or not at all!" Well, that is my mentality...

They are extemely easy to play, its very hard to be bad enough to die on them, and they dont serve any special function. BA ranger in killfests like AB and cripshot in places involving tactics (aka gvg) are much harder to play well, and much better if played well. In conclusion, touchers are noobs. Occasionally fun to play though i must admit.
Edit- Good point in the post above, if you dont care about any of that, go ahead and play them. I'd recommend taking some time to learn to play the game if you want to pvp though.

toucher are in general noobs, because almost every person who plays one is a noob attempting to win in the easiest cheapest way possible. Touching takes no skill and thats why people play it- cause they're really crappy at playing any complicated pvp build and keep losing to their own created builds. I dont use touching because it is nooby and rigged, i prefer playing a real build that is much more versatile and harder to play than a toucher.
But other than that, touchers are not dead and noobies continue to play them. It is effective but easy to counter if u can mass deg+ slow em or use diversion or something [because most touchers are noobs, they are easy to kill by a hit run tactic]

Its a noob friendly build thats all. But I don't really get it why people get so upset when they face a toucher in arenas. I mean it's not overpowered, it's actually very easy to kill if you try to think and not button mash.
If you die to a toucher then that makes you a noob, unless your build really has nothing to counter it. But usually people just try to kill it like any other enemy and that's why they fail. If you stand there and let him tuch you or even better if you put condiotions on him... well you just put those on yourself.
I actually sometimes play a toucher on RA just to have a good laugh at people who fail to use their brain.

touchers are only hated by N00Bs who actually die against them...
if you are a smart player you will know how to deal with touchers: snare, interrupting OoB(not that hard), d-shot, diversion, kiting(with speed buff usually), heck even E-Denial works as touchers rely on spamming rather cheap(due to expertise) skills but still spamming them so eventually they run out of energy.
if you are a N00B you will use: blocks, armor buffs, blind and other conditions, try to out damage them, ignore them while they pound your sorry ass into the ground
so if you're so pissed with touchers learn to play please...

dude... no1 gets mad at touchers (at least the people I know, I don;t know many though ). It's a noob build, like SP. That's the fact. The OP asked for the fact and he got it.

personally, i believe anyone who still play a toucher is a retard.
there are so many other idiot-proof builds out there, and many of them surpass the toucher in just about every way. examples are SP sins, and DA sins. they are just as easy to play with about 10 times the fire power. they are much harder to counter too.
why anyone would play this build, when there are better choices available that are just as easy (or even easier) to play, is beyond me. maybe they enjoy being bad. who knows.

Touchers still work, but there are more retarded things people can run in GW now, so why run a toucher? :P

Then teach me how to play. If you can interrupt my OoB consistently without giving me crap like migraine+arcane conundrum+frustration+daze, I'll give you a couple dozen ectos.
And I'm pretty sure the best guilds around the world will recruit you as their interrupter.

I've interupted OoB on a toucher before. My friend made me jump on TS and I pressed the 3 Key. Savage Shot on OoB, best fluke ever.

Touchers are okay. They are a subpar build that is easily counterable. Espêcially since now any semi-competent monk have big healing power (prot only have died), enough to overheal very easily the low (but uncounterable) DPS of a Toucher. As such, play one if you want but be warned there are a lot more powerful rangers build out there and just as skillless (minus interrupts) as touching. BHA or BA ranger being some.

Touchers are good in a 4v4 setting, beacuse of the attack and survivibity combo. SP sins and stuff dont have that so its shield bash>GG. Other RANGER builds on the other hand can have better attack and still keep the survivibility just easier to counter with anti melle hexes ect (which is on every second bar in RA though)
Fun to see the wammos going "OMG Nub tochr!" ^^.

SP way more noobier
I think the title says it all. It is way less fun to play when you have a gauntlet of 20 spirits to go through before you even see another player. Besides, is anything really noob? Isn't a 55 monk a noob because he can kill anything? If it is in the game and not nerfed it isn't noob. If it is a glitch of some sort then it is noob.

Thats why people play with them. Too many warriors/melee characters around with no kd/stance removal.
A touchers bar is basically: 2x vamp touch, Oob. That means crap loads of slots for whirling defence, dodge, lightning reflexes etc. Makes them invincible to a good 60% of all AB'ers.
There is nothing noob about playing with a build that works. (talking about AB here. doesnt say much at any rate....... this is the place where if you run an actual wammo wammo you tend to have a higher survivability than everything but an earth tank)

Why bother interrupting OoB? If you have them crippled, poisoned, and bleeding and they want to sac some more life, I say let them.
I understand and respect that touchers are a viable build that works against idiots... But they are nothing more than prey items for real Rangers who know how to play their class properly.
