Default no Halberd?

WARNING : this thread is NOT a poll to see a new weapon, skin or profession added. Just a personnal tought that i am stating.

Am i the only person who would have liked to see an halberd model in Guild wars? i've developed a love for those weapons .

Since warrior would have it either as 1-hand axe (claymores, anyone (this comment meaning more than a thing)) or slashing-dmg hammer(weird). The most logical incarnation would be a scythe.

So what do you think?

you could always do your own mod changing like a suntouched scythe into a halberd.
only you could see it but it could work

halberds would look stupid on a dervish

If anything the need either a new weapon mastery for warriors or paragons in GW2 or a new profession designed around pole-arm class weapons...too complicated.

as for claymores: click

Actually a claymore is a single handed basket hilt broad sword.

the big sword that everyone calls a claymore, like the one in Braveheart, is actually a claidheamh da lamh.

Personally, I would like to see more 2 handed weapons like claymores or big axes or akimbo weapons. I would open up all sorts of new builds for pvp and pve. It will make this game more interesting while we wait for GW2 to be made. This game is starting to bore me, we need something worth logging in and doing.

Didn't i say I wasn't askign for halberds to be actually implemented or to add a new class to the game?
Perhaps they would look stupid on a dervish. But IF they WOULD HAVE put them it would have been the best spot.

True i guess, but i think the most common use is the 2-handed sword.
Anyway it's more of a weird idea crossing my mind than a real need for new weapon/skin.
