The issue is that your build is completely self centered. In fact, you probably are one of this kind of players that leaves your group early to solo fight mobs. You're playing alone. For this very core reason, I never PuG in AB, always guild groups on TS. And guess what? We win most of the time.

If you played as a team, like you should in AB as you can choose your teammates, you should realize you don't need so much defense. Your monk / rit / whatever healer is there for that. He is better at this job that you will never be. So you're sacrificing your good dervish offense for crappy self defense. Would add that any rend enchant will screw you hard.

If I encountered you with my guild group, I would just ignore you. You're not even the beginning of a threat.

So in short, yes you are a noob, but that is because you think only by yourself and not as a team.

I disagree. For a new player it's so much easier and faster to get a good build and learn how to play it, learn game mechanics and battle behaviour without worrying about weather your skills are working or not.

Then when you are comfortable with pvp environment, you can start thinkin outside of the box. Thats faster and more efficient than struggling with builds from the start, and failing all the time. You don't know if your build sux or you just dunno how to play.

I'm not talkin about "pr0" players that do nothing else in their life but play games and for them to adapt to a new one just means few hours of practice.

If you are casual player you're better off starting with someone else's build that is proven to work.

Eh, I know where you're coming from, but I would still disagree. The majority of builds that work well require skill knowledge - when to use what, when NOT to use what, combining effects for max efficiency. Cutting + pasting someone else's build means you didn't come up with it, so you might not have the same visualization of how things should work together (even more so for a new player). Of course there are exceptions... anyone can run out an attack chain on a sin and score a kill in AB, or sit and survive with an E/D (or the OP's build, ironically), but truly effective builds require more thought. If it takes thought, it's better to do your own thinking than copy+paste and try and understand someone else's thinking.

Well in AB it's so easy to be separated from your team (such as base res) and takes a while to get back to them. That's why every bar must have self heal + speed buff

Most teams don't bring healers, too.

That's why they loose when we meet them.

Speed buff yes, self heal depends. When you are separated by rez, it is really easy to rejoin your group when you're on TS. Just converge to the same point (generally a cap spot). Use your speed boost to avoid ennemies while travelling. If you have to use your heal while you're running, that means you're stopping, allowing the one who hurted you to hurt you more. Only passive Heals that heal you while running are worth the skill slot.

Everyone says AoB sucks but its really in the usage that makes it suck or not. Theres an entire thread on it here (probably more buried) where it has been discussed SOOOOOO many times over its not even funny. Simple fact is its useful when you use it right, just like any other skill in the game..

Power Shot m i rite?

AoB sucks. Using it 'right' is capping it for the sake of completion then forgetting it exists.

Way to think outside the box

No, not all skills are created equal. AoB may not have negative effects, and the handful of positive effects may seem like a good idea, but the effects are completely worthless compared to other elites and are all accomplished easily by non-elite skills. Dervs have VERY strong elites, and AoB is NOT one of them.
