Taking a rez in PvE...yay..or nay?
Pretty simple really although I have to say a rez when I first played was laughed at...now it seems to be part of the PvE build.
Thoughts?
I'm against it....you?

I've always been an advocate in bringing a rez in PvE, even if I'm an Assassin.
I'm just so used to seeing people end up dead (due to lag, over aggro, never bringing a self-heal, etc.), so I bring a Rez.

Most pve areas are s easy that you won't be even needing rez... Yu can make your heroes take some rez like Death Pact Signet but I generally prefer something that will allow me to do what I'm going to do faster.
Unless, of course, I'm walking into a PUG- my hereos aren't retarded, they don't die so I don't have to take rez. PUGs however tend to be retarded, they die, so I bring rez when I'm PUGging

Since when was bringing a rez ever laughed at in PVE? Except for maybe the exception of a monk in certain builds, everyone should bring a rez.
I would like to include a self heal to the mix. I think everyone should bring some sort of self heal as well in PvE. My lvl 12 Sin was doing the Unwelcome Guest quest last night with a lvl 18 MM that didnt bring a self heal. He basically sacked himself down to less than 100hp, then complained when he died from miasma spreading to him. He died 6 times during the quest.

As I pointed out in some other thread, it's to your benefit to bring a rez. If you are the only person left alive, the only way to save yourself from getting (more) DP is to rez the rest of the party.
On the other hand, it depends upon the group and how likely it is that only one of you will be alive at any point.
On yet another hand, it depends upon how much you need some other skill rather than a rez. There's no reason to not bring a rez if you have the space in your skill bar, or you are just filling it with some other barely useful (or used) skill.

For H/H, a res isn't needed. In PuG's, a res is needed. End of story. Henchies are very good at using their res's and use them early and often (make sure to disable the monk res's as it'll stop them from healing/protting). PuG's, however, do not res so actively; apparently, they think they have something better to do. So in PuG's, I feel it's necessary to bring one, especially since party-wipes are all too common.

It depends on the group. If you know that you won't be dying (playing with a bunch of guildies or people that you know are talented), or that you won't be the last one alive (only melee attacker with no self-protection), then I guess you can leave a rez out.
If you're in a PuG, bring a rez and a self-heal. If you don't have space, make space. There's no guarantee that the monk(s) in the PuG will be able to keep you alive when you really need it, and there's no telling when you'll need to rez somebody who overextended.
Don't do something crazy like bring Death Pact Signet. But do bring something that can be reused unless your build really, really requires that you not use /Mo or /Rt.

I usually include a rez in all my PvE builds... mainly to rez my dead healers (who so often run to the front line and die) or for my heroes when they die, because they are pivotal parts of my grp (especially with them getting DP, unlike the henchies)...

Anyway always bring a rez if you are in a group even with guildies.

Yeah It helps a lot if you stack your h/h team with 3 healers, then there should be no dieing what so ever...

Are you implying that henchies don't get DP? They definitely do.

For the first few seconds maybe, then everyone starts dropping dead.. 3 healers? wtf are you smoking?
Anyway, as said bring a rez in PuGs because they suck and die a lot, and in HM because even if you have the best group there's nothing you can do when 3 Mursaat Elementalist time a Chain Lightning in perfect unison. Otherwise don't bother, kill more stuff faster = less chance of dying =)
