R/N Battery?
Tomorrow I'm going with my guild for a full DoA run, but, thank God, we're going to use a balanced. Well, with an obsi tank instead of DS/SY warrior, but still better than ursan.
What build could a Ranger run to be a battery? Before BiP megabuff I was quite low on energy. Would I have any problems running BiP now? Should I use masochism for free bips?

Masochism wouldn't be worth the skill slot in my opinion as you've no points in Soul Reaping. Generally I'd recommend running something along these lines:
[skill]Symbiosis[/skill][skill]Edge of Extinction[/skill][skill]Blood is Power[/skill][skill]Troll Unguent[/skill] and 1 or both resurrect signets.
Many used to like the bip to bring [skill]Brambles[/skill] but it's my opinion that a conditional bleeding spirit isn't really worth it.
Optionals as I see it are:
Foul feast just to help keep the tank free from cripple
Blood ritual in case the monks need the +9 for that really hairy triple aggro ;D
You move like a dwarf and or finish him are always useful.
Blood renewal (I personally think troll is more than sufficient though).
Consume corpse/Necrotic traversal - you shouldn't be first in unless you're going to sac in place though, like the trench in veil.
The one place where a Necro does Bip better is on the grape ape himself, for SoS.

PvE skills would probably be your best bet to fill in the rest of the bar, since you won't be able to spec very well into other attributes. I'd kill myself if I had to run a complete bitch BiP bar with support spirits and no damage/action.

Yeah, I that's more like it ;p
@lennymon Why not Maso? It gives 1 energy at 0 spec, you precast it and it lasts same regardless of attributes, then BiP is free. And wouldn't 1 hp be better, so you don't have to use Troll?
@holymasamune - Well duh. If it was up to me, I'd take something like splinter barrage... Supermega dmg ftw, but what'cha gonna do. Some guilds are, unfortunately, ignorant ;d

You still have to factor in the hassle of casting and maintaining it... just not worth the effort to me. Go ahead and bring it sez I and see how *you* like it, but I'd probably pack you move like a dwarf or necrosis instead.
1 HP is quite useful in places, up to you. I don't think it's bad, just not necessary. If you do go 1hp obviously troll would seem to be less useful. But I'd bring both high and low health armor depending on the situation, and as such troll still would be good.

... if you say so.
With a bitch ranger and a tank, you've already reduced your damage capability by 2 characters.

It looks like they are running the old DoA build which had Obsidian Tank, 3 SF Eles, Bip, 3 Monks (Healers Boon, Spell Breaker, & Bonder)...
I think they using r/n bip instead of n/r, so its not that different, just lacking 1 extra regen from the bipper.

Still far from a "balanced" team.

It's not balanced, it's terribad tank and spank. And in that the bar Lennymon posted is probably going to be the most appropriate, while I've never ran it, I'd assume you'd be in for some epic boredom. Pretty sure that that build was ran back in the days when armor stacking still existed and people did 1000 fame HA runs because they couldn't die... wonder why DoA players didn't think to do that till SY came out.
Is terrible and won't stop your paragon unless your team is also terrible and hex removal is some form of alien concept.
Soothing Images is the real issue, but there's tons of hexes throughout DoA so it really only makes sense to go with plenty of removal. And SY doesn't do a great deal vs degen hexes which tends to come with it
