Thunderclap knocks down anyone hit by lightning damage for 20 seconds or so, chilling winds is a cover hex.
Cast thunderclap, chilling winds (just in case) then watch him fall on his ass for 20 seconds.

Last time I played in RA with this, I was tearing with laughter, I just auto attacked their monk until all of their team members were dead.

Yes, but it's been proven that a shocking shortbow will keep a foe licking floor for as long as the hex lasts, and as long as you have the energy.
Given a Shortbow has a refire rate of 2 seconds, you're losing 6 energy every 2 seconds. How do you counter that, given that most energy management devices open to an Elementalist are Elite, and so is Thunderclap?
If you're spamming Air Magic spells instead of using a bow, and occaisionally targeting the foe hexed with Thunderclap, you can't keep them on the floor as much as using the bow, and because you're using spells, you're consuming even more energy.

u don't need 2 second kd= 3 seconds so dosen't have to be short bow. then u use a zelous bow. and this build is really old just reinvtented. me and friends used to run it.

glyph of elemental power isn't that strong. Saves 1 energy on Thunderclap per hit, but it takes one slot and 5 energy to use the glyph.
Would prefer GoLE over it

ditch the bow for a spear and you can get +12 en focus

Oh u wish lmao. The constant kd rate is sooo crazy that I can not even use a ROF lmao. You have almost no chance of casting a 1s cast spell. I was under pressure like that before lmao. If the whole team of 4 is balling up, you are done for.
Chilling wind in there for longer hex I believe.
Though you might need a BiPer if you are playing TA or HA lol. For HA, make sure their whole team is balling up. Oh smite ball. There you go. You WILL screw them SOOOO bad as long as Ward of Stab is down lol.

btw, whoever said it was a 3s kd is wrong. It's 2s. By default, you should assume kd's are 2s unless it is otherwise noted in the skill like Backbreaker.

Chilling Wind does absolutely nothing aside from being a half-ass cover hex here.
This'll work against disorganized teams, but organized teams probably won't bat an eyelid on it.

Ya I've had this done to me before as a monk. It really is pretty gay because the only good way to remove it is if you are pre-vailed since any other hex removal is likely to get inturupted. Even if you do manage to get some RoF's off you're team is still pretty screwed unless you have another healer.
