Why on earth did you post this? You obviously aren't remotely interested in the large amounts of useful feedback you've gotten, and are now the laughingstock of these forums. It seems you were expected everyone to praise you on your awesome build, but that's simply not going to happen considering the numerous flaws.

This is why I didn't reply to what you PMed me. This is nothing short of you getting pissy because you wanted uber feedback on your groundbreaking RA build, and people told you it was crap.

Someone call the freakin' wahmbulance

If you want to support heal, Avatar of Melandru is a more useful elite skill than Avatar of Balthazar

Your two healing spells on your original build are Imbue Health and Watchful Intervention. Watchful Intervention performs the same no matter what avatar you are using. Imbue Health will perform BETTER with Melandru, because you have +100 HP.

As for the damage side, Melandru just blows Balthazar out of the water with Wearying Strike, which = spammable deep wound spikes. The speed boost is easily reproduced with a non-elite skill, as is the +armor (which is less valuable anyway).

Quoted for proof that he doesn't care about other people's opinions.

BTW, for the hell of it. Heres what I sent him. Though keep in mind that the last time I did RA was like.. 1-2 years ago.

Quote:
That being said, Avatar of Lyssa boost your evergy and attack, allowing you to do BOTH of your main functions more often. Armor and protection for yourself you can easily gain from Earth Prayers, and speed boost from wind. Harrier's Haste also allows you to do even more conditional damage. Whirling Charge, even.

Harrier's Grasp can completely cover crippling sweep, and it also eliminates the possibility of them removing cripple. You may not even need a speed boost with this. Dwayna's Touch, with all these enchantments, is a great self heal, or even if your near others.

Other possibilities I can think of is Armor of Sanctity. Since your inflicting Cripple, that covers to conditional usage, and reduces damage that even extra armor can't. Conviction for obvious reasons. Sheild of force perhaps if you get targeted from melee...

There, now you can't say I never did any help.

true but if u used melandrus to fill the same role would you bring same atack skills on top of the 2 heals if so which one would you drop for speed, or what skills would you bring altogether if different.

From now on I will quote this thread as the reason any rank of gladiator title proves nothing about your skill level in this game.

If you don't care about peoples opinions why did you create a thread with a purpose as such?

On a more constructive note, if you want a nicer support build, try:

Wearying Strike
Victorious Sweep
Harrier's Haste
AoM
Imbue Health
Natural Healing
Draw Conditions
Res Sig

BUT OH NOEZ YOU LOOK LIKE A TREE INSTEAD OF A BADASS!

and yeah aob so much cooler looking than melandrus, always

Wearying = deep wound = removes 20% of their max hp and decreases healing effectiveness.
Watchful is very meh, imo - it might prevent an early spike, but using it as a 190 heal every 15 seconds on someone who is getting pounded below 25% is incredibly inefficient.

But as long as you look cool, I guess efficiency doesn't matter.

I generally time RA with at least one guildie, so that I can be confident of at least some intelligence on my team, and I run an A/Mo healer with Assassin's Promise (Guildie is generally running s spike build eg. Lyssa's or RSpike). IMO you should just run a self sufficient dmg build or if you REALLY want to heal just run a fullout healing build. For godsakes everybody, this sort of build is nothing new. The real hidden healer is the Me/D who outheals the monk (I run it frequently in GvG/TA and NOBODY will fing you then, who expects a Mesmer to be healing muchless a secondary Dervish ^_^).

PS -- If this build works for you why are you asking us if it works. I'd say that any build that you played in a team that got a 42 win streak was at LEAST competent if not brilliant. Most solid builds are just mundane tedious skill chains that work but get boring because of the lack of innovation.

Hope this contributed to the conversation ^^

EDIT: I got a random PM from him concerning an earlier thread that he had made on something or other, I had the exact same problem lol ^^

theres a difference between not caring about peoples opinions and refusing to think what people tell you to think.

i didnt pm you man, but i do think he has point, the build is undeniably competent in the least. you can really see how this build can carry a team far is you look at the deathpacting which even if you end up loosing gives you another shot you otherwise would not have.

the melandrus alternative was interesting but not as impressive, maybe for full damage
