terra tanks vs. varesh ftw!!
I see a lot of 55s running ruins of morah mission, but why not terra tanks do this? I don't see a lot of terra tanks, so I came up with this:
the general's skillbar can be anything, just give him a permanent resurrection and some way to inflict deep wound and some degen.
i meant to replace image of remorse with inspired hex for the explanation. and if anyone fail to see, the ele is equipped with glyph of swiftness.
your armor should be full radiant or geomancer, you should try to reduce your health so varesh won't target your heroes for no reason. make sure you disable bathazaar spirit so the hero won't remove it.
when u enter the mission, manually cast bathazar's spirit on you. Then cast the basic tank spells. When you try and get close to varesh, use glyph, then obby (the obby will prevent her from using the hex on u). When u manage to pull her, immediately cast ward of stability while glyph is still active. during the process move back slowly a couple inches every time (but not to the extent where u put your heroes in vulnerability or leave the ward completely, explanation later). Ward of stability is important since it will protect you from her shutdown, Earth Vortex. Also, stoneflesh may run out before u recast obby and ward. Don't worry, armor of earth will still absorb the damage for you and varesh's attacks should only hit up to 30-40. Your heroes will cast these deadly spells on her while tanking and eventually, she'll die. be sure to maintain your other energy management skills, stone striker and mantra. AoR should be your heal, as even with armor of earth and stoneflesh, you might take 5-7 damage from varesh.
When her first form dies, more mobs should appear. If you moved back correctly as i mentioned before, you shouldn't aggro them. And varesh should be a margonite with a higher aggro range.
Pull her again, and make sure you don't aggro the mobs. She is in fact, a bit easier. You don't need to cast obby and ward anymore. Call of Sacrifice shouldn't be a big deal, as your mesmer should remove it with inspired hex. remember, keep all your spells up and eventually varesh will commit suicide.
the run should take around 6 minutes.
like the 55 monking, make sure you tell the others to stay behind the heroes.
Hard Mode notes:
Varesh can deal up to 25+ damage with armor of earth and stoneflesh. I haven't tried completing this in hm, but i believe geomancer armor is a necessity and i might to bring a bonder. and in situations, you may not have enough time to recast stoneflesh when out.
some advantages over the 55 is the terra tank is more durable, a way to prevent enchantment collapse (which triggers when an enchantment ends), and a way to protect yourself from the KD effect of Earth Vortex.
If you are doing this in normal mode, charge your customers around 1-2k.
