Nah just bonettis for energy. Just use it when your low on energy or before your skills for grasps. I use firey as smites and grasps are more vulnerable to elemental damage.

Sup Strength +1 Strength helm, Zealous/Enchantments scythe.
Works very well thanks to them removing 3+ melee flee so they just stand around you and get slashed to pieces.

Thanks .
I'm about to give the scythe one a go, hopefully it yields more drops than the A/E nuker

aatxes can't knock you out of your stance. it either ends or you attack them (so enraging charge ends).
the run is the same as every other smite runner build so you are probably doing something wrong yourself.

Thanks for the template Evilsod, I finally decided to have a go at UW tonight and as a complete newb to the area i found this build to be the easiest by far.
On my first 3 attempts at UW i went W/Rt & couldn't get past the Grasping Darkness due to e-denial. My 4th attempt was the triple chop build in the OP, again e-denial resulted in my doom. Tried this build on my 5th attempt - it cleaned up the GD's with Flail and Scythe attacks (no energy needed) and easily made it to the Smite Crawlers then pwned their scaly hides
The only diff was i dropped Power Attack for Sprint to chain with Enraging Charge until i get used to the Aatxe patrols.
If you're like me and just starting out on UW runs, give the above build a go
[edit] Just took out my 3rd group of Smites for an Ecto and a req9 Storm Bow...nice. Thanks again!

guys for running when you re w/d y not use pious haste, it last for 5 sec and recharge at 5 sec and you run at 33% instead of 25%
Also y use endure pain when you can use defy pain which you can keep up almost all the time when you are fight the smites and works great with victoriuos sweep.
@antithesis e-denial can be easily solved, for axe mode use bonnettis, it charges up quickly jus by attacking, for scythe mode use the move counterattack you gain 5 energy back for each foe struck, so that be 15 energy for everytime you use it, plus use a zealous weapon if you having trouble managing energy.

the adrenaline gain of enraging charge is very nice; instant defy pain/flail. Makes it easier and faster.
There's no need for a constant run, the run itself is very very easy.

I think he meant Enraging Charge, not Endure Pain.
And Pious Haste really isn't needed since you can do the run fine with Enraging... plus its great for wanding smites before they get close so you get all your adren skills up.

Thanks Ahbuh. I found once you hit zero energy it's pretty tough to get it back up again vs Graspings, at least with the W/Rt and Scythe W/D. I didn't give the Triple Chop build much of a chance but a zealous + Bonetti's makes sense...i was packing a [wiki]Wing's Axe[/wiki] but using a Totem!
And right you are Evilsod, i meant Enraging Charge...d'Oh!
Practice makes perfect...once i wrap my head around the run i'll give the builds another go. But from a UW newb perspective, the Scythe version was the easiest to get up and running without having to know what you're up against.
[edit] Just tried the Scythe W/D again and unless you've got a Zealous Scythe, you can't use Counter Attack to maintain energy vs the Graspings. I picked up a [wiki]Scythe of Corruption[/wiki]...as Borat would say, very nice! Makes the run very easy
