Default Triple Chop help

Hey guy, need help with starting an axe build. I've been playing a Hammer warrior for two campagines now. Seems like Triple Chop is the best skill to build around for PvE. Here's what i got so far...

[skill]Triple Chop[/skill], [skill]Cyclone Axe[/skill], [skill]Dismember[/skill], [skill]Flail[/skill]

I was thinking about going Rit secondary with [skill]Nightmare Weapon[/skill] and [skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill] or Ele w/ a conjure [skill]Conjure Lightning[/skill].

Is it necessary to bring [skill]Whirlwind Attack[/skill]? And do i need a self heal or should i bring something like [skill]Sprint[/skill]?

I have a +5 eng Zealous Chaos Axe of Fortitude

Triple Chop sucks though. Whirlwind attack would be better than using triple chop imo. Just use eviscerate and executioners. Then bring utility, flail + enraging charge, and conjure. Oh and res sig.

I have a pretty effective PvE axe which revolves around triple chop.

Axe 14
Str 13

Triple Chop [e], Executioners Strike, Dismember, Frenzy, Sprint, "I am the Strongest"(norn line), "I am Unstoppable"(norn line), Deathpact Signet

I use it with well set up heroes and act as the point man to aggro the mob to me and triple chop with "I am the strongest up" for some massive dmg, then unload on the monk or a caster of relevance with dismember/exe. I don't usually need a zealous axe, but always have one handy anyways. I use "I am unstoppable" in obvious situations like against mobs with alot of KD's such as Giant Stomp, or when I just need some extra armor like against 6+ raptors. Triple Chop is sweet if used right and it's bonus dmg is worth even hitting 1 or 2 enemies with because of its decent recharge. If you don't want sprint, i suggest using enraging charge, you can build dismeber/exe quicker.

If you want more AoE out of it against big physical mobs with high armor, just bring a hero with 10 in channeling and use splinter weapon on you, works like a charm.

gl. sorry for lack of template i was in a rush.

go fail somewhere else.

I would suggest bringing all 3. and if you are going H/H you probably can lose healsig, in a PuG monks are going to be to terrible to not bring a self heal.

an ideal bar would be something like:

Triple chop
cyclone
whirlwind
dismember
enraging charge
flail
conjure (or splinter)
res sig (or DPS)

the last two spots are pretty optional

I honestly think Triple chop does suck.....the reason it's used is the same reason rangers use Barrage in pve - there's not really any better options.

It'd be good if it had a shorter recharge. I'd rather it be an elite version of Whirlwind attack - adren based with a 1sec recharge.

"i'm sorry"
"you should be"

is a common form of sarcasm

It isn't the same as barrage as TC does some damage. In fact it bonus damage is the same as Executionors Strike, which is just used for it's high damage. You won't use barrage versus a single foe, using TC against a single foe is strong

Ive experimented with all 3 weapons and many elites and ive found that an axe with TC is the best for pve

TC is used for its damage and the extra damage is a bonus, the recharge on it doesnt matter as ur meant to have other skills with it, for instance you would use a chain of TC, excecutioners, and penetrating chop and come back round to TC and its recharged

Triple Chop = AoE Executioner's strike...

What's not to like?

10s. recharge? Um, do Whirlwind and Cyclone Axe while recharging?

what else?

Oh yeah, Dismember, AoE or Spike build [lacking Eviscerate], Dismember is a default for non Eviscerate axe users.

Multiple AoE damage with any melee weapon in your arsenal? Sign me up!
