I find bonding quote fun in pve... -0s on top of my head and the +1 energy always make me LOL.
Yes you can do it on heros... yes heros can do it on you (given you disable their skills)....

yes that sounds boing, but its also nice to have something other to use so you dont get bored too fast, like i was with my warrior.
Anyway, what would be a good Elite for that kind of bonding in pve?
also i assume a staff with +20% enchant would be a good investment?

Eh, I run Life Barrier or WoH as my elite for when I bond, but then again, it's been quite a while since I did any serious bonding. I also suggest going /Me for Mantra of Inscriptions in conjunction with Blessed Sig.
Also, if you want something interesting, picking your toenails is more fun than bonding.

If you're too bored by it, try going Me/Mo and bonding with Signet of Recall and Ether Sig. Fun times.

the bonding build i like to use is
Shield of Regen(yes i know guru hates this skill but with bonding i have no energy problems ever)
Life Bond
Balths spirit
mantra of inscriptions
blessed sig
gaurdian
ether sig
aegis
for RA bonding that works sadly well........
and i dont run rez in RA on monk since you should be protting or healing your allies instead of rezzing and by the time you need to rez in RA as a monk is if your group is near wiped and i have only seen 2 groups cme back from that and win

Yeah, Pandra's build (I always thought your name was Panda, I need to read more carefully) works well enough in RA, especially if you're a newer monk. However, it's hardcore vulnerable to enchant stripping.

great stuff, thanks for all of your input. About item selection, should i focus on hp or mana runes/insignias? I know many people here are against superior runes and many people are also superior-pro (?) anyway since bonding you get "extra" life would that be a good choice and also does degen go through bonding?

I suppose the logic is that with 50% damage reduction, +regen +armor +50% (75% w/ aegis up) block chance, you wouldn't need to worry about hexes/ conditions and that most RAers would have some form of self healing...
What I don't like is the actual lack of healing...All the prot is nice, but if you have an offensive caster with any sort of enchant removal on his team, you're screwed

this was mainly a thread for PvE bonding but yes, i'm sure there is enchat removing enemies, but i have not come across many. Maybe in Hardmode there are more or deeper into the factions/nightfall campaign

When bonding, healing light actually almost becomes a useful elite.
Blessed light is nice as well because you should be gettin the energy to use it.

It works in PvE, but there is a lot more enchantment removal in most areas of PvE than RA. Having to reapply bonds gets pretty annoying.

I agree 100%.
And as for PvP (well RA) I have yet to come across a Life Bond Monk which my team coouldn't defeat. Perhaps there is an element of luck to that, but I would primarly say that as far as Life Bond Monks go the following is true 1) their build sucks, and 2) crappy monks life bond, which translates into poor skill use of an already crappy skill bar.
PS the best is when a life bond monk dies and then gets rezed, talk about a waste of a party member.
