Default Terratanking the 4 horsemen

[skill]Glyph of Swiftness[/skill][skill]Obsidian Flesh[/skill][skill]Sliver Armor[/skill][skill]Aura of Restoration[/skill][skill]Armor of Earth[/skill][skill]Stone Striker[/skill][skill]Mantra of Earth[/skill][skill]Stoneflesh Aura[/skill]

Two teams now i'd terratanked on this quest for. Once with a spellbreaker monk covering me, the 2nd time without one. It worked fine with the SB monk covering me, and i'll fail without one. However, the 2nd team claimed it can be done by just a terratank by himself.

I'm curious as to how it would be done by an unaided terratank. How would he prevent signet of humility from disabling ob flesh? Once ob flesh goes down, the tank is dead of course. Or was my 2nd team just stupid?

EDIT: Even guild wiki says it's possible:
Quote:
Another stratagy is to take 2 tanks in your group, one tank will be an elementalist with Obsidian Flesh and Glyph of Swiftness. These skills along with a +20% enchantments can allow the ele to maintain Obsidian Flesh non-stop. Along with Stoneflesh Aura, the elementalist can hold one side without any aid from a monk.

Signet of Humility is not a spell, so it goes thru ob flesh....it disables your "Elite Skill", which happens to be Ob Flesh.

Or you could not run a terratank and instead a normal build and beat the quest that way.

EDIT:

Was tired when I posted here. Sorry for any confusion. I posted a build that was warrior/ele. I don't think the build could go in reverse because the warrior skills were strength based. Ignore or delete this post.

So nobody knows how to terratank the 4 horsemen without a monk support? If not i'm going to assume my 2nd party was just stupid and it is impossible.

I would prefer a VoS dervish for this, at least the dervish is usful everywhere in UW. Also i have never had sig of humility used on me when i have done this.

u can go E/Me for arcane mimicry if there is an ursan in your grp. At least you can attack or do something beside tanking in the four horsemen quest

Likewise, I can consistently tank one side of the 4 horsemen with the above, except that I use Ward of Stability instead of Arcane Mimicry. (You don't always have Ursans with you; you don't always have high norn rank; it helps elsewhere.) Putting a slowdown (Ward Against Foes, Grasping Earth) into the Arcane Mimicry slot could work as well, as could certain PvE skills (I Am Unstoppable! comes to mind).

So the only way to do it is to get lucky (extremely lucky, as its the 1st thing they do to me) and hope they dont use signet of humility?

As there is no correct answer, I'll give you one.

The Four Horsemen indeed do use signet of humility but their inspiration magic attribute is 0 or 1, thus making your obsi flesh recharge for 1-2 seconds, making no harm to you.

Yes, I have solotanked horsemen two times already.

Amen to that. Overspecialized build that does not do anything except tanking. The VoS dervish is indeed a better solution, and even that is not needed - not in the age of numerous PvE skills and having the skills of 3 chapters + an expansion.
