Running mel without a zealous scythe? No wonder they're all complaining about "horrible e-management" on the dscussion page :\

As far as non-Form elites, I'm really fond of [skill]Reaper's Sweep[/skill]
In fact, I use it on several builds.

I have every single Dervish skill on my pve toon, but all I really run is a melandru build with a channeling/restau rit hero back up. Wearying Strike + splinter + rage kill mobs so fast it's scary.

[skill]Wounding Strike[/skill], [skill]Vow of Strength[/skill], and [skill]Reaper's Sweep[/skill] are all great elites but I think that [skill]Avatar of Lyssa[/skill] and
[skill]Avatar of Melandru[/skill] are probably the two best general purpose elites the dervish has available. In PvP i'd be more inclined to use a non avatar elite to avoid the downtime since Eternal Aura is a PvE only.

The non-avatars don't see any play at all in PvP. It's better to have a really good skill for half the time than a mediocre skill all the time.

I personally like Reaper's but it's just a personal choice, I typically play with an avatar

I've taken Wounding Strike on a silly Wind Prayers build I made just for the sake of using Wind Prayers for once. It's fun, but it's not really better than Melandru.
Or in PvE, Lyssa, obviously.

I love to use Reaper's, but avatars usually have a higher general payoff in PvE.

It's hard to justify the non-avatar skills when eternal aura completely removes the drawback from the avatars.
On heroes though, I prefer reaper's sweep.

In HA recently I ran with a guild group using reapers sweep and actually did very well with it.
