Against high al targets yeah. Not that every foe hm would be one. I also heard a rumour that theres other kind of foes than destroyers in gw, wonder if this is true.

Did you miss the bit where he said "Hit hard mode"?

@Pyro Maniac -- In general, Great Dwarf Weapon > Splinter Weapon in PvE, sorta...

Well, if you're playing with other casters that are human, yes to GDW.

Mind Blaster should really concern on support than damage, though to be honest, with small bursts of damage (Rodgorts Invocation).
Apart from that, Elementalists shouldn't be devoting their bar to full damage, just those short bursts.

Now in this Axe build I use [wiki]"You Move Like a Dwarf!"[/wiki] and [wiki]Breath of the Great Dwarf[/wiki] can be switched out with whatever you need to take care of.For me it seems like I always got some fire spamming thing so losing burning is why I have it.As for knockdown well that just makes monsters all the more easier to kill.

the idea was an overall suggestion.having 2 switch out slots plus 6 main slots, but the truth of the matter is so long as you only have 2 of the games, you are not going to have a killer skill lay out.pure and simple.best bet is to get Eye of the North seeing as you have the capacity to garner skills from ALL the other games(including capping elites).start saving those pennies.

Do not spread false info here please.

IF you do not own the campain that an elite skill originates from then you may NOT cap it in GWEN.

Buying GWEN will only give him the PvE skills, a very small number of new skills and new locations to cap the Elites he already has access too.

by the time a fire nuker finish casting a single nuke spell, a warrior with splinter weapon would've already killed (or mostly killed) the mob being targeted.

traditional AoE nuking is obsolete. it's simply too slow. things like rodgorts invocation and mindblast spam is still good, simply because they can at least keep up with the warrior+splinter.

Actually, it does.
Take DoA for instance. When I played Tank&Spank, every SF I used did 50 damage (HM) with Lightbringer up. (Rank 4)

If I were to take a Warrior, and a Ritualist with AR + SW, I would of already cleared the mob in half the time. Simple as. PvE title or not.

Thread tanget....

What I think it all boils down to is that while warriors are capable of dealing more damage then casters, in practicallity they face shut downs(blocking/blind/hexes) far more often then most casters do.

A Dslah war will out dmg any class in single target DPS, A triple chop/splinter weapon war will out dmg any AoE caster.

The problem lies in the wars concitency to deal that damage when its needed, does he have the adren up, the energy, is he blind or the foe blocking/enchanted.....

For a caster its simple, am I dazed, is there a ranger targeting me, is the foe imune to magic(SB/ect..). Beyond that the caster can just cast away and ignore most everything.

In PvE, those counters are so rare that they may as well not exist. In PvP, the idea is that your opponent will have to spend a huge amount of time and energy to shutdown your warriors, or they'll explode. For most caster builds, it's trivial to heal through it.

You do have a point with charging up. Warriors are very weak at first, but as their adrenaline charges they become more dangerous than the other physical classes. Warriors need to charge up, sins need to recharge, dervishes need to prebuff.

Beagle, I'm in roughly the same situation you are, with the exception being owning EotN.

My warrior runs a modified "God Mode/DSlash" build:

[skill]Dragon Slash[/skill][skill]Tiger Stance[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]"Save Yourselves!"[/skill][skill]Power Attack[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill][skill]Strength of Honor[/skill]

While it's not perfect, it's better than anything I've come up with.

Hope it helps!

flurry wouldn't hurt your build too bad.

and please drop the maintains.
but umm for dslash kinda modified
i am too lazy to use skill tags atm
dragon slash
FGJ
Flurry
sever artery
gash
sun and moon slash
save save yourselves
enraging charge or rez

sun and moon can be dropped when you need a rez and you can keep enraging charge

wait is enraging NF?
if it is then try ummm just rez?

It grants +100 armor to all party members except the warrior(who used the skill).

This means that 1) your party takes about 50% less dmg from all attacks that do not ignore armor and 2) you, the high armor warrior, now become the lowest armored target and draw agro off of your casters.

Even though its duration is very short, 4seconds even at rank 6 Luxon/Kurzick, with the correct build(Dslash + FGJ) you can maintain it almost indefinately.

It's 85% damage reduction against damage that is effected by armour I think.
I hope I don't fail at maths again :
50%*50% = 75%
25%*75% = Let's just say 85%! D:
