In my experience, most builds will work quite fine against destroyers, even fire based ones.

EXCEPT SEARING FLAMES.

I still remember bringing two SF elementalists with me to a destroyer mission - all they could do was glowing gaze them. Most embarassing

B-Surger or Dual Attune Lightning Orb / Hammer spam?
Shatterstone?

Would of said Mind Blaster with Winter as a damage conversion but apparently it's bugged...

Best I've done against Destroyers is a Dual Attune Lightning Hammer, Lightning Orb, and BFlash spamming Ele. Water damage > Lightning damage, but the extra blind and cracked armor going around is a plus. Guess it depends on if you want to support or do damage.

Water doesn't do extra damage to Destroyers iirc

Blindbot works well.

I just turned in a HM handbook today, last quest was DD. Ran Sab's 3 necro heroes and I ran this myself:

[Empathic PB;OgVCIMzUBgy3FgcpNoHgGAyA]

16 ES and 12 Dom

max Sunspear and Asuran

works really well against destroyers.

I don't want to completely denounce the use of wards, but every melee Destroyer (except Earth) has [skill]Warrior's Cunning[/skill]. So just keep that in mind when you're an ele going anti-Destroyer.

warriors cunning only lasts about ~10 secs so its down ~83% of the time.

In hard mode enemies have 50% fast recharge and (probably) 20 strength. So its up 13 seconds and has a 30 second recharge in HM. Not enough to make wards useless, but definitely enough to make me take blinding over wards.

Personally, I like to set myself up as a water snare/shutdown, and bring along Zhed as a fire nuker.

I'll cast [Deep Freeze], [Ice Spikes], and [Blurred vision], while Zhed throws in a [Searing Heat] and a [Rodgort's Invocation]. I'll then cast Deep Freeze again, and have Zhed hit them with [Savannah Heat] while I hit them with another Ice Spikes and take out whoever is still standing with [Shatterstone] and [Vapor Blade]. All while Morgahn and whoever I brought along as a tank is beating the crap out of them at melee range. Works pretty well.

The inerupt rangers also carry [skill]seeking arrows[/skill], and the barragers have [skill]crossfire[/skill], so although all the enemies don't have 100% anti block, they pack enough counters that I realy wouldn't waste slots on it at all.
Eles don't have a huge array of blind skills, but what they do have can be quite effective,[skill]blinding surge[/skill] [skill]blinding flash[/skill] [skill]eruption[/skill]. Also remember that the necros pack OoP, meaning that if you time it right, blinding surge can effectively take care of an entire group. And if all else fails.....[skill]enfeebling blood[/skill] 66% of the time, it works every time.

Edit:I know this isn't ele discussion, but it's made my life easier for all my character doing anything involving destroyers

BTW, since the update a few weeks ago, anyone running sab's triple nec should take another look at the Smite line.
[skill]Scourge healing[/skill] has become a super effective skill against destroyers, and if you decide to spec into smiting (I dumped the aegis and prot spirit on my sab mm) you can pack
[skill]scourge enchantment[/skill], (helps take down the necros even faster)
[skill]reversal of damage[/skill], (after it's recharge buff, it's actualy a very nice skill)
Actualy, a large amount of skills in the smiting line can be used pretty effectively on sab's trio. Heros play [skill]judge's intervention[/skill] to a tee, they could use the energy gain from [skill]castigation signet[/skill] effectively, and even [skill]Zealot's Fire[/skill] can be viable (death nova spam causes bonus damage, hurrah!)
