If you're relying on things that add damage to up your damage rate, Needling Shot may be worth considering: double your rate of fire when finishing off a wounded target .

Might also be usable to confirm, if it hasn't been (re)confirmed already, that Kindle and Conjure still work properly, since it fixes the size of both packets before Conjure is applied.

Unless you are fighting plant bassed enemies I would suggest Conjure Ice with an Icy mod on bow. Most dungeons I go into with a barrage build including "I am the Strongest" and it totally owns. I sometimes bring a hero or friend along that has splinter weapon to cast on me, that coupled with an Earth Tank war up the front to hold onto the aggro and you have yourselves probably the most powerful multi attack ranger in the game. I don't stray to far from this build anymore as I have the most fun with it and it clears all the mobs in no time provided you have a tanker that knows what they are doing

knidle + conjure flame + vamp mod + dual shot = gazillion of little split dmg.

Try to do that, quite fun :P

If you're purely about damage, I'd go with kindle + conjure, as kindle gives you more bonus damage than any other prep (save maybe glass arrows, since that damage is unconditional).

For more versatility, the fiery string will of course give you the bonus damage from conjure while letting you use any prep you like.

Not as bad as it used to be, but there are many other skills that are more useful.
