Shock Axe Questions!
I was just on the Pvxwiki page which explains about the Shock Axe build, shown here - http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:W/E_Shock_Axe
I have a couple of questions though:
- Why does it suggest using an "ebon" axe against other warriors?
- When would be the right time to switch to the vampiric axe, because at the moment they way I'm using it seems to be doing more harm than good. Basically I keep it off until I start attacking somebody, then I switch to it until they either die or run away.
Thanks.

Warriors have 20 less armor against elemental damage than they do physical damage.
Ebon is used because it's the element that people are least likely to carry a +10al shield vs.

Ebon because of Marverick's reason. Vampiric axe, use it when you're fighting more light armored players for a bit more damage. However, if you are suffering a degen, take it off.
Also you might want to consider having a zealous axe so shock's exhaustion and usage won't kill off your 20 energy bar. Consider taking radiant insignas, for the extra energy.

Also, what do I do about a self heal & a way to remove blindness? Do I just need to count on the monk for that?

generally if you're running a warrior in AB or RA, you'll want to bring your own self heal. heal sig is still good, since the recent buff made it usable even with 5 in tactics. lion's comfort is very good in AB, since it now doubles as adrenaline management between skirmishes.
you don't have a way to remove blindness. however, by using a reduce blind rune and a reduce blind inscription on your shield, you can cut blind duration down to a minimum.

By using a reduce blind inscription on a shield, can I just switch to it once I'm blinded or do I need to be using it before I get blinded? Thanks. Also, to include HS in my build, what would you take out?
Thanks.

the reduce blind shield will need to be in place before you get blinded for you to gain the benefit.
for RA, take out disrupting chop. for AB, take out rez sig.
if you are using heal sig, drop strength by 1 and put it all into tactics, and then the rest into air for a slightly bigger shock.

Thank you very much, I'll give it a go. One last question, I realise it's a cookie cutter build but it wouldn't be cookie cutter if it didn't work, so I was just wondering, do you think this is the best warrior build for RA?
I'm just doing RA whilst the double weekend is on.

the shock axe build will work very well in almost any pvp setting, so go nuts.
after all, it does everything you want from a physical hitter: pressure, spike, KD/interrupt.

Both shock axe and cripslash are extremely strong builds in RA. A shock axe guy has more disruption and a stronger spike, a cripslash guy provides just about the nastiest pressure in the game.
Since surge and flash have both been nerfed, blind isn't as huge an issue as it would be otherwise. Still, you may as well keep the double blind reduction, since nothing else you put on your shield is useful.
I've started running Lieutenant's insignia in TA. I know, I know, it hurts my damage and armor, but everyone and their mother is running hexes right now with bsurge down and out. 20% reduction isn't a lot, but it's a few more seconds of not standing around with your thumb up your but.

Haha, well today was the first time I'd ever used a warrior in pvp, and I know what you meant about standing around doing nothing, as I was constantly having [skill]Empathy[/skill] + [skill]Insidious Parasite[/skill] applied on me

Eh, it's not your fault. In higher PvP places like TA and beyond, ping out those nasty hexes, blind, and weakness to your monk. They'll get rid of it quickly .

Insidious isn't that bad since you can frenzy through it(life stealing is not doubled), just don't attack the necro that casted it on you. The missing hexes like price of failure etc are the only things you really have to worry about, I still carry a -20% blind shield/rune just in case. It's a cookie cutter build but that doesn't mean it doesn't take skill to play it effectively(dchopping guardian on recharge ftw).
