Skill 1 vs Skill 2
Wanted to know what ppl in the GW community thought how somewhat similar skills compare to each other - which one is more useful, better, or convenient.
Here are 2 pairs to keep you guys busy.
[skill]Life[/skill] vs [skill]recuperation[/skill]
[skill]temple strike[/skill] vs [skill]beguiling haze[/skill]
Discuss.

Recuperation is stronger...but much more inconvenient.
Beguiling IMO is just flat out better than temple.

this is pointless. almost all skills have a situation they are most useful in.

Life & Temple Strike imo.
Life is a cheaper and fast recharging spirit.
Also life heals more (slightly tho)
temple strike because it can be used defensive and because of the blind cover for daze.

Life & Beguiling
Recuperation isn't bad, it's just Life is cheaper with better up-time.
Beguiling is just... better at spiking down casters. Temple Strike isn't focused enough and generally rather weak.

I agree with Alex, Life and Beguiling. Recuperation is a little too costly, and beguiling is just fun. Its like:
"lalal tralalala *beguiling* HELLO!DIIIIE!"

I like Life better, Recuperation just costs too much for a ritualist, in my opinion. (Unless you bring along E-management, which you should, but I dislike having over two-thirds of my energy pool being drained by a single skill.)
I have no clue on which Assassin skill is better, since I don't use the profession. But just by reading the skill descriptions, i'd say Temple Strike is better.

use both for party wide +6 regen?
skill vs skill i guess is best used when comparing elites since you really can only take one.

Skill slots are a very real limitation, too - simply put, you don't want to take too many skills that do the same thing, so you take the skill that does it best, allowing you to take other skills to do other things with your build - your build is thusly stronger and more flexible.
Comparing non-elite skills is fine, because we can pick out the best ones for a given task so that we can win better.
and in this instance, it just so happens that Life is pretty much a stronger choice (regen, as a whole, isn't that great - expecially with something like Recuperation a lot of its potential will be wasted) for general use.
Only thing is, it's hard to control when it goes off without taking other skills - generally though, 20 seconds into a battle Life will come in handy
Though Protective was Kaolai is even better ^_~

Life and Beguiling.
Life stacks with Health regen, and beguiling is self explanatory.

Screaming. Easier application, more damage on the extra.

Screaming Shot for me. Far easier to use and more damage. Hunters is useless in comparison unless your target starts to move for a few secs.

3 Screaming 0 Hunter. Ok
What about [skill]energetic was lee sa[/skill] or [skill]mighty was vorizun[/skill]
EDIT:
Energetic was Lee Sa
10 energy, 2 casting time, 20 recharge
Hold Lee Sa's ashes for 5...13 seconds. While you hold her ashes, you gain +2 Energy regeneration. When you drop her ashes, you gain +1...8 Energy.

I like Vorizun better, since it gives you extra armor. Plus, it's in Communing, rather than Spawning Power.
