Well, I have expensive 15K armor with runes. +1 Soul Reaping rune, +3 Blood Magic rune, +2 Death Magic rune, +1 Curses on scar.
I originally made the build when the whole BIP thing was brand new. Guess it was dumb of me to set up something like this on such armor. My HP is 400.
Basically, what's the best way to handle this? I'm almost always low on gold.

That's a for sure chance I'll get all the material and runes? And if I did, what armor parts would I use it on and what changes would be made?

I'd just place the runes in your existing armour, would probably be the cheapest choice you have.

you can use a perfect salvage kit to get the runes off, but if you salvage any armour or weapon for materials it will break.

So placing different runes on the armor that already has runes is the best bet? As isn't having low life better? Is my skill set fine?

well you can buy a cheap easy to make armor. and fill it up with sup runes to make your hp low and use that as your bip build's armor. and just place +hp/energy runes on your canthan. that way you can use your 15k canthan fo ralmost anything else other than BiP

If you want to spec into death magic, place a sup on a new scar pattern, then minor runes on the rest. Adding runes replaces the old one. I you're specing into curse, buy a new curse scar pattern, place a major curse rune on that and minor runes on the rest.
I use 2 sup runes on my curse nec and as many +health mods as I can, my health is around 440. But I stay in the back and rarely get attacked, so it's not a problem for me.

Perfect salvage kit to remove the runes if you intend to keep the armor and remove the runes. Insignia aswell, if you have them.
To get one of these you need;
The Perfect Salvage Kit can be crafted for (250 Gold, 25 Wood Planks, 25 Iron Ingots, and 1 Skill Point from:
* Edwin in Eye of the North
* Eyja in Gunnar's Hold
* Kwat in Rata Sum
* Alcus Nailbiter in Central Transfer Chamber
(Match up to the existing campaigns you have. Namely, these are all EoTN.)
If you want new armor and intend to salvage the materials aswell, I don't know of any way to get back every piece of material you used in it.
Your best bet might be a superior salvage kit. Though you will more than likely be disappointed with the results.
